GTX 1060 was launched at 250 dollars

this year its 350

the definition of MID-range has changed and have now become

mid-Premium

Is it worth it ?????

Wait for some reviews and benchmarks, but it'll probably be like GTX1070 or maybe even a GTX1070Ti.

Nvidia doesn't call them mid-range anyway.

Depending on the REAL price and the REAL performance

1060 6GB was launched at 250 dollars? Because iirc it was at least $300 in USA and 350€ in EU. Expect the RTX 2060 6GB to be, at least, 400€ in Europe since the GTX 1070 can be purchased for 375€ here in Spain, and expect it to perform similar to the 1070, maybe 3-4 fps more

This is just my opinion based on what happened to the 1060 and 970, 2070 and 1080, etc

So if the prices of GTX 1070 drop ... Should I go for it without any problem ????

depends if you value RT or not but I wouldn't buy a 1070 anyway go for the Ti if the price is right.

Maybe the performance of an  RTX2060 blows us all away but for now just wait a couple of days for benchmarks and reviews.

Eh, maybe the new mid range cards will be the RTX 2060 cut down cards. the 3GB, 4GB, even the GDDR5 (maybe GDDR5X, but even then it should be the crappy ones on 1060 and 1070 D5X) flavours should be somewhat slower and cheaper.

Think I saw nvidia UK tweet £329 for it.

Just the one or did we get all the stupid sub variants as well because nvidia doesn't want to redefine their 10 scale?

I believe they only announced the FE card, so cheaper ones will eventually follow even excluding the lower ram options not announced.

The original FE price of the 1060 6GB was $299 but because of strong competition from AMD with the RX 480, Nvidia dropped the price to $249 and then launched the cut down 1060 3GB as well.
