It's my girlfriends birthday today, i want to give her something. We just got in a relationship like 2 days ago, but have been been together for some weeks. 

 

I thought about some jewelry but it's the typical present, and i want to do something different. Any suggestions?

Just kidding. Make something simple for her. Grap something you have laying around, like a box and try to make something out of it... photos... candy... a little object that means something for you/her/ both... you get the point.

Dinner and a movie. or stay home watch a movie and make her dinner. depends on what kind of girl she is but that covers pretty much all i find.

Anything more is way too much. You set the baseline high in the beginning, you're going to pay for it the rest of the time you're together.

Oh I know. I know. That said an old friend of mine got his gf a $400 bracelet 2 weeks after they started dating, broke up the next week. Flowers dinner and a movie, hard to go wrong

Do you know her favorite flower? Don't go with roses, they're too played out. Almost thoughtless, really. She'll appreciate something different. Maybe if there's a way you can tie in the color of the flower to a reason they made you think of her.

Make the card personal. Doesn't have to be super thought out, but a little touch helps.

You don't want to smother her too early on in the relationship.

Being childish together is the best part. It's still my favorite part at my age. If you can act goofy and such around each other you're both comfortable, it's a good thing!

I just realized she's booked for tonight. Already got plans with the family to go out, so i will have to surprise her with something else when she gets here.
