If I had a million dollars, I'd probably just run all of my CPUs above 1.6 V, or I'd keep buying 6950X's until I got one that could run at 4.5 GHz on a Hyper 212 EVO, then use the ones that couldn't for Christmas tree decorations.

 

I wonder how long a $150k PC would even take to build.

Ok kid even if you had a million dollars that PC is waste because anything more than 1500 PC is bad for an average consumer, you would have absolute no use with that kind of build. 50k is 5 percent of a million dollars that would be such a waste of money

Bad? What if you edit video, use CAD, or are a graphic designer? Sometimes you need a really, really good PC. The one in the OP makes no sense though, M6000's are really only made for the vram.

Here's mine. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/fpPx2R I excluded a cooler because I want a 3 radiator water cooler for the front of my case I chose but don't know what brands are best, or are 2 radiators and 1 fan (for case air flow) best? Also what is best for the top of the system, just more case fans? Or better yet should the radiator go on top and the case fans on front? (I was contemplating staying away from water cooling all in all and just using 8 case fans and a 212x) Things I still gotta learn... anyway my dream build is there. Perfect for everything I want to do, good gaming/content creation processor, plenty of ram for 1080p video creation, big hard drive, ssd for booting and slow loading, 1070 for gaming, wanted a 1080 but decided for what I do it isn't worth it except for bragging rights honestly, love the case I chose, absolutely perfect for everything I need and want, plenty of fan slots, dust filters everywhere, nice window. And a nice gold fully modular PSU. This is about as dream like as it gets, will I ever be able to build it, maybe, soon? Doubt it. Any way what's yours if you don't already have it made.

I dream with building a 2-cpu Xeon computer that controls my whole house with small cheap tablet devices scattered all over the place. You know, one in the entrance, another on every door... Instead of keys & locks -> passwords.

Yea it really is, just have no job right now. But its probably only a few years away. In the meantime my trusty i5 and 370 get the job done.

I actually want one of those silent PC's that Linus did a video on recently, the one with no fans.  I would love a case that had one of those massive heat sinks built in and i could just change out the CPU, GPU and other stuff as needed but use the case+heat sink indefinitely.
