Nope, I think it started as a LTT project but quickly was split off into its own company. Luke is in charge of all things floatplane, effectively CEO. You can still find him lurking around on the forum here as Slick.

Even if you post the website itself... You may not have noticed because you're likely logged in, but the front page is still just a login page and nothing else. No explanation to what floatplane is exactly and why you need an account. (It's sketchy AF for anyone who doesn't know)

Linus Media Group and Floatplane Media are sister-companies owned by same holding company (which is owned by Linus, Yvonne, Edzel and Luke, the original partners of LMG).

Since site is still in alpha testing, they only have that info what you can get from creators already in. Its basically video hosting site with streaming function to allow users to directly support their favorite creators. You pay fee per creator and see whatever content they have in there. This can be video without ads, videos of better quality, BTS videos, early access, exclusive streaming etc.
