Can I do video editing on ryzen 7 2700 without OC? And what is the max clock speed on all 8 cores without OC

I'm planning to buy ryzen 7 2700 but don't want to overclock ( for now at least, my budget is very tight).

So I wanted to know will I able to use editing software like Premiere Pro, Sony Vegas, after effects etc editing software smoothly??

Or it will be very laggy and slow?? And what is the max clock speed on all cores without OC?

BTW In my country, the price difference of 2700x is around 80-90$ and I can't afford that much right now.

i dont see why you cant overclock..........

 

a good B450 board like Tomahawk from MSI and you can do some easy overclocks.

Thanks for the reply what are the minimum requirements for overclocking Ryzen 7 2700?

 

I mean don't know that much about overclocking so how much ram do I need ?

Or will the 500w psu is enough to overclocking the cpu?

well, 500 watts is more then enough. a good cooler, b or x series mobo

I would recommend at least 16 gigs, but it depends on your budget how much actually. as long as you get dual channel 3000mhz+ ram you're fine

All core turbo is close to 3.8, and since the stock cooler is good, XFR should automatically put you to 3.9 or 4.0GHz

Usually Intel is more advisable for this type of workload and software.

 

But the Ryzen 7 2700 should be alright, if you grab a decent AsRock b450 you can probably have it on 4ghz locked or 4.1ghz which should be within reach, there's not need to leave it at stock as overclocking is super straight forwards and not really of any harm to your CPU.

It's still going to be twice as fast as 4th Gen i7's/5th Gen i7's in Similar Software

Nothing slow about that...
 

Similar IPC, Double Cores/Threads, Similar Clocks.

Also Remember, others use less powerful kit on Adobe products and seem to "Make do"
