Hmm, that's a bit high for 1080p. I get the temps of max of 72°C when gaming at 3840x2160 and 69°C at 2560x1440p.

But I got the Aorus 1080Ti so it's a bit unfair. which case do you have?

Also looks like the cpu is falling behind but that shouldn’t be a surprise. Prolly contributing to the gpu heat.

I'm not really sure but that case seems to have only one fan included. Have you also added more fans? If not, that might explain the temps.

The front intake is not open, as you can see here: https://www.aerocool.com.tw/en/chssis/pgs-v/cylon

Yes, it's entirely closed. However, with the front being closed, less dust will go in.

My case is a Fractal Design R4. Your case looks nice too.

Have you also tried different games to see if they have an impact on the temps?

You could increase the fans to 100% and see what sort of temp changes you get then.

Or replace the fans with 120mm fans:

I would dial back the overclock.

80*C is entering the danger zone.

Some cards fry the closer to 90 you get.

Under heavy load anything near 80-85 is very dangerous.

Personally 70*C is my limit.

If a card hits that then that cards is not used till either the card is cleaned of dust from the fans and heat-sink or new fans installed on the card.

80C+ is max temp of this card, it will then underclock automatically to maintain temp.

you may have bad fan, feel the wind from 2 fans.

I had a msi gtx970 with very weak fans and often overheat to 79c, replaced with new one and fixed.

Still according to https://thepcenthusiast.com/msi-geforce-gtx-1070-ti-titanium-8g-graphics-card-review/3/ they also reach 73 stock. so is like +7 C° overclokced.
