Missing the other side latch for RAM slot on the motherboard?

Hi everyone,

 

I started assembling my pc today, and I am puzzled by my motherboard. I usually expect to see two latches for each RAM slot (one at each end). But on my Asrock fatal1ty b450 itx motherboard, the RAM slot only has one latch on each slot. So in the picture, the green side has the latches but the red side is just empty. Is it just a feature (or the lack of) of the motherboard? Or did I get a defective motherboard?

Pretty common to see on a lot of motherboards, just push the RAM down towards the side without the latch just before clicking it in on the side that has a latch.
