RX 570 detects as RX 580 after updating new drivers

sidex15

I've bought a new RX 570 recently... I've installed first the drivers that came out on the cd and detects it as RX 570 but right after I updated the drivers it detects as RX 580. Is it the driver issue or my GPU itself?

Sell it as a 580 on craigslist and use the money to actually get a 580

Hmm, try removing all drivers and re-downloading them. Was the 570 an open-box or sealed?

My RX 570 is Sealed... I removed the drivers using DDU and reinstall it again using the latest drivers and still Shows up as RX 580... I'm using Sapphire Nitro+ RX 570 8GB BTW

He might actually be right lmao. Maybe AMD sealed it up in a 570 box and you got a 580. Lucky you

I guess GPUZ is simply acting up, just like it sometimes show my GPU temps in thousands of degrees, it stating OP's card has 2048 SP has made it clear enough that it's an RX 570. RX 580 has 2304 SP so GPUZ is being funny.

Excpet it shows the shaders as 2048 so it's definitely a 570.  A 580 has 2304.

I think this is a driver problem or Sapphire cards are really exclusive for drivers... I've downloaded the latest drivers from the Sapphire Website, not from AMD website and now it detects as RX 570...

I did the userbenchmark and the scores are the same as the RX 580... probably due to the 1411mhz factory overclock...
