Can you stream in RAW?

Guest

I know that practically nobody's internet connection could handle it, but it always bothers me when there's some cool animation or whatever and it goes all pixelated because of the bitrate limit. This is just a theoretical question, because you would need an insane connection and an insane encoding machine, but would it be possible?

Yes. You wouldn't be able to see it though.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

you dont have to stream in raw just higher bitrate h.264.

drive speed isn;t even good enough to seed raw video onto your own monitor let alone try to stream it

You wouldn't even want to even if you could. Other people's computer wouldn't be able to see it without spesific software. Other visually lossless stuff, yeah, maybe.

My internet is 3.5 down on a good day, I can't even watch 1080p video smoothly.

h264 and other codecs have lossless options, and can be seriously tweaked to preserve tons of detail and information.

If you have the bandwidth, it's possible to prevent pixelation that upsets you, and still have reasonable bitrates... like less than 100-200mbps.
