Doing a late Cyber Monday shopping spree

So I only realized today that it might be time to upgrade my GPU. I've currently got a Radeon HD 7870 which I got second hand for €50, but it's seen its days.

Is it a good idea to place it in this system? I'll be using it to play games like GTA and Assassin's Creed on a 1080p monitor running at 75Hz. (I don't mind lowering settings to achieve a comfortable frame rate)

Just a quick yes is appreciated, because I know I tend to buy things too fast and realize they don't work/fit/are not the best options while it's already on its way...
