Which one of those monitors would you choose (assume you have 2k for that and a gtx 1080ti) and why? What are the plusses and minuses? Which brand would you choose? I would prefer not asus, because they are the most gamery things ever.

Would all games support ultrawide? Is gsync necessary? What is the difference between 100fps and 165? In my understanding VA is better than IPS, because of bigger contrast, so better colors? 

The question is because i am maybe thinking of upgrading my monitor to a "gaming" one

 

Im thinking about the UW 3440x1440 gsync VA ones, but it seems a bit crazy to spend 1000€ on a monitor.

3440x1440 UW 100Hz G-sync

 

I already have it. Have the GPU horsepower for it. Games look great. It's a big boi. I like it. G-sync is super neat.

Have you tried with gsync off, is the difference noticable?

Which brand monitor do you have?

Have all games supported the UW?

I haven't tried running G-sync off on this monitor. But I did used to use 1080p 144Hz non G-sync panels. I can tell the difference. Especially when frames are sitting at around 40-50FPS (like BFV at some points).

All the games I play anyway. Some source games hate it. L4D2 and Portal weren't too fond of it. But BF4, BFV, F1 2017, ETS2 are great. Web browsing is weird though.

 

I use a 2560x1080 UW 75Hz non G-sync display (LG 29UM68) as a second display. Haven't tried playing games on it.

Get the non g-sync version. I swapped from one with and one without and unless you are playing super hardcore FPS games you will never notice

All the games I play anyway. Some source games hate it. L4D2 and Portal weren't too fond of it. But BF4, BFV, F1 2017, ETS2 are great. Web browsing is weird though.

Hard to say imo. I could feel the difference between 60, 100 and 144 in my case.

 

Probably 60 to 100. Anything higher you'll have to be really into you're racing/FPS games to feel it.
