Your Windows will then activate as Windows 10 Home, regardless of what you chose when you installed it. (At least, to my knowledge)

Windows 10 Pro and Home are the same install, but Pro features are enabled with a Pro license. 

 

It will function as unactivated Windows 10, which will have Home features until you activate it to have full Home features and support. You won't have Pro features at any point without activating it with a Pro license.

You even better stick with non activated windows rather than using home version of windows

If the issue is to save money by getting home edition, then just go to ebay or cdkey website and grab $15 pro key.

I understand MS decision to make it home version, but cutting network access for most part is just ridiculous.

I planned on buying it on amazon but I'll try and get a key in kinguin using a subway gift card since I don't want to use my credit card

You do realise all of that is stuff the regular home user is never going to use right? Which family can you name off the top of your head has a domain network at home? Or require Remote Desktop access? The closest one is BitLocker, though again, which family actually encrypts their systems? This has been a feature in many smartphones and yet people still don't utilize it, for a device that is more likely to be lost or stolen.

I don't get it what are you trying to prove? Networking is very basic feature by today standard, WIFI is everywhere.

People connecting their plex, movies, pictures even songs every day.

Yes, but you don't need Pro to do that.

Networking is basic, but this "Domain" is referring to corporate/school/Government networks. It's the kind of network where users accounts are stored on a centralized network.  What you're referring to does not require a Pro license as you're just accessing your own private cloud storage, not an entire network. 

This stuff.

Interesting. Why this isn't mentioned anywhere on Plex? Nor did my brief search found any conclusive proof than you couldn't access NAS on Win10 Home. There were ton of threads talking about issues, before and after several updates. But I would hardly call that proof that those two won't work on Home edition.

 

And this is hardly about networking in general. This is about your comment on home users needing advanced networking tools. I read few articles etc. and nowhere it says that Domain would mean same as not being able to create or connect to home network. If you can provide something else than your own experience to support this, please. I'm always ready to admit my mistakes for lack of knowledge. But from what I read, Win10 Pro Domain feature means that you can connect to work network from home.

 

Remote desktop and Bitlocker, these two are the ones I would use to say whether you need Pro or not. Maybe Hyper-V too.
