P8P67 LE Not Turning On

Hello guys,

So I just got a used P8P67 LE motherboard which is a Rev.3, and it doesn't seem like it wants to post/turn on, this meaning not even a beep or fan spin up. The standby led is solid green, and the TPU switch led works. The PCH heatsink warms up some reason when the motherboard isn't turning on but with the psu is plugged in and turned on. I have no clue what bios revision the board is running since it won't turn on.

Specs

CPU: Intel i5 2550k

Motherboard: Asus P8P67 LE Rev.3

GPU: Zotac GTX 1050 TI Mini

PSU: Cooler Master G750M

RAM: 2x4GB G.Skill Sniper 1866 MHz

SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 256GB

*All parts are from a different build except the cpu and motherboard.

Methods Tested

- Attempting to run the board outside the case

- Shorting the front panel connector pins

- Running with minimum components (CPU, 1 stick of RAM, GPU)

- Reset CMOS battery

- Reset CMOS battery/jumper

- Replaced CMOS battery

- Tried all the RAM slots

- Tried a different PCIE slot

- Tried with 3 different GPU

- Tried with 4 different RAM sets

- Tried with 3 different PSU

- Re-seated CPU

- Re-seated GPU

- Re-seated PSU cables

- Tried turning on with TPU off/on

Sounds like a dead board to me. Either that, or a dead CPU. Does the board turn on with the CPU power disconnected?

Do you have a speaker installed on the motherboard?

Im thinking that maybe your Ram is incompatible?

I'm sure the CPU isn't dead since the board doesn't even show any CPU error led. Also I did try with only the 24 pin connected.

I did try with a speaker, but still no beep codes. Also I have tried with multiple different types of RAM and it still doesn't turn on.

Yep, dead board. Sorry. Time to source another P67, Z68 or Z77 board.
