I recently acquired a used FM2-A75IA-E53 motherboard, supposedly, pulled off a working system. When I tried turning it on for the first time there was no post, not even a display came up, and any usb peripherals I plugged in didn't seem to be getting any power. I plugged in peripherals I was sure worked, as well as monitor and display cables. At first I had installed an A4-7300 cpu, but learned that the motherboard may have needed a bios update to support that cpu. I bought an A4-5300B to update the bios, still no post or power to usb. I do want to mention that the cpu fan turns on, the cpu is

Hey guys So, I was recently super excited after beating the scalpers for once and getting myself a 5600X. I paired it with an Aorus B550 Pro AC booted up right away to my surprise and, after a little snag with windows, got it running np. I then went and updated the bios to the latest just in case and it was all good. Two days later, I try to boot up my pc, and I notice I'm not getting video and mouse and keyboard are unresponsive. The thing isn't posting at all. I take a look, and the VGA diagnostic led was staying on. I tried reseating my graphics card and, after trying to reboot a

Hey there, I build myself a little NAS Server with the X570D4U Mainboard from ASRockRack After I hooked all ( CPU cooler, ATX Power, CPU Power, etc. ) correctly up to the board and pressed the power key it turned up the fans and did a restart. I connected the VGA to the dedicated VGA Port from the Mobo which is powered by the BCM IPMI Chip but there is no output. For testing I also put in a Zotac Geforce GT10 for video output but still no video. After that I connected the dedicated IPMI Port to the Network. Finnaly in the IPMI there were no CPU or

Hey everyone, I upgraded my 1070 to an RX6800 very impulsively today after my 1070 died while playing battlefront II. After lots of troubleshooting before purchasing my new GPU. My motherboard ASUS X570 Tuf Gaming Plus (wifi) was displaying the troubleshooting code for VGA. We tried clearing cmos, booting without GPU, switching PCI slots, etc. my system is as follows. R9 3900XT, RX6800 GPU, 32GB Corsair Vengance 3200MHz, ASUS X570 Tuf Gaming Plus (wifi). We were able to boot once with the new graphics card in place. But now it’s not booting and

I have a really weird issue. I recently was trying to install a riser (ROG Strix Riser Cable | Gaming Cases|ROG - Republic of Gamers|ROG Global (asus.com) ) for my 3080FE after changing to PCIE 3.0 in the BIOS for my x570 mobo, and for some reason, my system decided to not POST after shutdown. I tried everything but the system just wont power up. So initially, I did all the below checks: Checked if all connections from PSU were plugged in properly. Moved GPU from riser to mobo. Removed GPU altogether Jumped the power button pins of case

B450m-a motherboard Ryzen 5 1600 Corsaire Vengeance LPX 8gb (2x4gb) The symptoms: The power button doesnt work, but i can turn it on by touching the two power pins with a screwdriver, then the fans spin up, it sounds like its on for 20 seconds, screen stays black, and it then shuts down. Pcpartpicker told me my parts were compatible. But do i need to update the bios on this motherboard for it to work? I dont have access to an old cpu so cant get into the bios to do that. I've tried to re-set the bios, and have moved the ram around in near every combinat

Firstly, i power on the pc and sometimes the cpu light on my motherboard turns red, usually upon startup, then the light switches to another issue) other times there's no light at all. The motherboard starts beeping very rapidly, and i cant find anyway to decipher it, the beeping often changes too. And then, my DRAM light turns orange, (sometimes it'll flicker between that, and my red cpu light,) i tried taking out one stick of ram and alternating slots with them etc, but still no luck. Once, i took out one stick of ram, and the dram light went to having no light. And then i put th

Restarted, enabled SAM on my MSI X570 Tomahawk wifi, tried out a few games (everything took around 30 minutes). Went out for dinner, and when i came back just 20 minutes later, PC refused to POST, case fans/ AIO / RGB all functions, even the RGB on the 6900xt lights up, but there is no signal, cant even get to BIOS. Multiple attempts to restart, reseated GPU and ram, nothing works, just a black screen. ez debug LED on the motherboard has

Hey there! My friend ordered new CPU, motherboard and ram for his old gaming computer. He got a i5-10400f, a Asus Prime H410m-d motherboard, and some 4666mhz ddr4 ram (2 sticks) After building the pc, we connected everything and booted it up. The BIOS logo appeared, I was then prompted to press F1 because "a new cpu was detected", which I did. I entered the BIOS and checked if the ram was at the right speed, and left the BIOS. Then started our problems. There is simply no screen output. The screen doesn't even display black, it just goes to sleep mo

Hello, few days ago I have bought a new motherboard, ram and m.2 ssd. I've made sure every component is compatable but my pc doesn't post. I have tried everything from: Removing gpu and connecting monitor to motherboard itself Removing motherboard battery and placing it back after waiting 15 minutes Buying a new psu and fan (600watt by cooler master) Placing ram in every single slot Using old ram sticks Reseating every cable Switching between vgu and hdmi Holding f11 delete and or f2 on startup Leaving just ram psu mobo and gpu and r

Hello guys! First of all, I'm not sure if Troubleshooting is the correct thread or whatever it's called to submit in, I'm sorry if any moderators have to move my topic. My PC suddenly wasn't able to POST, but I fixed it. I want to hear what others may think is / was the problem. So I downloaded ASUS Suite 2, installed it, restarted, started Suite 2, messed up my fan profile, uninstalled Suite 2, restarted - to go into BIOS and redo my fan profile. When I got into the BIOS, the aspec ratio the BIOS menu is displayed in was changed. But the BIOS menu itself

About a month ago my motherboard fried itself, so I replaced it with the B450 Gaming Pro Carbon Max WiFi. I was using my ryzen 5 1400 for the beginning, before switching to the ryzen 7 3700x where all these issues started. First, I reset bios and set the motherboard to factory and blind updated it. Still nothing. Ran every diagnosis I could, and called multiple friends even had them come over to my house to help. Everything we did had no result. Cpu light isn't on, graphics card works. I have an MSI rx580 4gb oc. Fans spin, power to hdmi and display ports, but no picture. When unplugging it al

Hello All, I have a Dell Inspiron 17R-7720 laptop. It was working fine then one day they went to turn it on and it doesn't want to post/boot. The power light comes on, and the 3 button lights it the top left of the keyboard area light up and turn off but that is it. I get no post, no dell logo, and the screen doesn't seem to do anything. It doesn't attempt to shut off it just sits there and doesn't do anything else. Now when I hold down the D button and press the power button, the screen test comes on so I know the screen is working. I also hooked it up to a VGA and HDMI monitor b

Hello everyone, As the title says I'm having a bit of a problem with my pc build. I'm currently upgrading to a new pc and wanted to make another one out of my current build. I wanted to keep the drives, case, gpu and psu for now though. Thus, what I've done is I bought a new case, psu and took an old hdd from a different pc. I've put my old mobo with ram, cpu and cooler still attached into the new chassis, connected the hdd and power and.. it keeps turning on and off with fans spinning but no post or sound signals. What I've tried so far: •resetting the cmos by shortening the pi

I just insItalled my first aio water cooler and everything was fine it did initially boot up and post but the next time I turned it on my pc did not post and the debug cpu light was on. I have tried everything on the no post forum already created as well as only using one stick of ram and changing their positions, I also checked to see if the pins on the cpu were bent and i haven't found one yet. I do not really know what to do at this point especially because everything turns on when i power it up you can even hear the water start in the aio. As of right now I have no test bench to test my mo

So i have recently bought a new pc case, and i took my pc parts and put it into it, but here is the catch, it’s not posting at all. It will turn on, fans will spin, motherboard led’s will turn on, cpu cooler will spin but, after around 10 seconds, it will shutoff and starts again, this wont stop until In hold the power off button for at least 5 seconds. Here are the parts and tests I have tried; I have tried replacing the ram, used multiple configurations and even a single ram at once. I have tried different PSU’s, same exact result. I have reseated the CPU

I'm upgrading from an fx 6300 to a ryzen 5 3400g, but my asrock fatality b450 gaming k4 won't post. I think it's incompatible bios. Does anyone know if microcenter (the place I got my mobo) will update the bios free or if AMD still does the free boot kit. And possibly hour long it takes to arrive?

Recently, I just got my pc done and upon turning it on, it didn't boot into bios for the first time. So I updated the bios and it booted. Installed windows, updated and benchmarked. I was trying to ramp up my mem speeds thru DOCP, however, I just can't get a boot. So I managed to keep it at 3466Mhz with timings 18-20-20-20-40 1.35V. It did work... for 9 hours until it just hung and won't boot again. It's stuck at a post code error 7A. I have already reseated my ram and cpu just like in the forums. I also cleared my CMOS and reflash BIOS but still didn't work. Any suggestions? Specs:
