Is 32 inches too big for a gaming monitor?

I currently have a 28 inch monitor and am looking to upgrade to a monitor that has g-sync. I am trying to decide between a 27 inch and a 32 inch IPS monitor. I am not sure if 32 inches will be too big or not. I sit about 70 cm away from the monitor. They are both also 4k monitors.

For 4K 32in is fine. I have an ultrawide and it's fine

Just keeping this here as a Speaking from experience here. Personally got the AOC AG271QX standing right of front of me right now. The size is just perfect as you can fit anything on it while it not being uncomfortably large requiring head movement to look around. Desk space might be a thing to consider.

I use two 32 inch for work (programming, music production, et cetera) and one 32 inch for gaming. I sit about 50 cm from them. I find that just right for me.

I would really like an ultrawide but I was going to wait until they started releasing 2160p ultrawides. I've been gaming 4k for a few months now and I feel if I downgrade to a 1440p ultrawide that it would be really noticeable.

That's a fair concern. My previous primary monitor was a 30" 2560x1600, so it wasn't an issue for me.

 

The main thing I wanted was a higher refresh rate and when I looked, you couldn't get a 4K monitor that ran at higher than 60Hz.

Varies by user. I personally have trouble living on less than 24" of screen estate on a desktop. Even with a laptop, I like to have a second monitor.

A smaller ultrawide would likely be a lot closer.

It's not a 30 FPS vs 60 FPS situation but it is noticeable and really nice to have.

It's definitley a noticeable diffrence,I however would prefer to exclusively eat KFC for a week then that tho

It's not a 30 FPS vs 60 FPS situation but it is noticeable and really nice to have.

Maybe I should just buy that new Acer 4k HDR 144hz G-Sync monitor for $2000 xD
