Where are you shopping / located? The pcpartpicker link you originally posted was for the US.

Depends on what i'm buying / Austria. Yea i used pcpartpicker to post my Case/Mainboard combo, as they are relevant for temps.

What are your thoughts between aio and air cooler if the room temp is like 30-40c? I live in the Philippines and summer is coming so might become more worse.

Ambient temps don't make one better than the other. The better cooler is better.

Sorry for the new account don't know what happened. I can't log my prev account.

I see, my options here with my budget are:
Noctua-U12s (Kinda limited stock here so might take time to find this one)

Deepcool Gammaxx L240 v2
ID-Cooling (Auraflow X 240 or Zoomflow 240)

Which do you think is better between the 3? or you might have a better suggestion.

Here is a link where I can buy:

What cpu, case, and ram are you using? Budget?

Are you sure that you're using the correct email or form of login?

Depending on how much you prefer to spend, a Gammaxx 400 or Neptwin White would be good:

Thanks for those suggestions. I'm into performance but kinda want to have fans included as well cuz I'm planning to add fans as well if I buy an air cooler only.

What do you think of Gammaxx L240 v2? My cpu temp rn is sitting at 45 to 50c at idle, 65 to 70 when gaming and 90+ when doing Aida64 stress test. Will this AIO will be helpful to reduce huge temp instead of stock?

The Gammax L240 V2 is a better cooler but your temps seem fine already. Are you hitting 90c normally or only in synthetic tests? If you're not constantly stressing your system that hard, there's no need to worry about high temps only during synthetic loads.

Yeah, hit it on the test only. But I'm not really happy with my idle temp tho I kinda understand because the room temp is really high. I just wanna prolong the lifespan of the procie as much as possible.

Will you suggest for me to buy the Gammaxx L240 v2 or you have a better suggestion in mind that's within the price range of that?

Ripz. What do you think is a great cooler that will reduce the temp at least to 40 below or does adding fans might help?

Idle temps are generally limited to >10c over ambient so that's unlikely without a very overkill cooler. Just don't worry about it. The idle temp is perfectly normal.

Alright. I guess it's just up to me whether to buy the unnecessary for aesthetics or not. Lol

Thanks so much!

Alseye h120d 25$

Gammax gte 29$

Gammax gt rgb 33$

Deepcool L120 48$

Thermalright true spirit 140 direct 33$

True spirit 140 power 40$

Which one is most recommended? Going to use it for R5 3600

The H120d pretty interesting since at that price it has 6 heat pipe and all black heatsink, and the extra money can be used to replace the fan with some higher quality ones

If you want rgb, the Gammaxx GTE or Neptwin RGB aren't much more.

Replacing the fans probably aren't going to make it a good choice especially when it's not much more for a great cooler to begin with.

If you can fit it, the True Spirit 140 Direct / Power are both great.

Why aren't you into big coolers?

The HD120D performs better than the Gammaxx GTE. More heatpipes are generally better but there are other factors that affect performance.

Well big cooler looks kinda ugly and my pc case wasnt that big to begin with.

Edit: what about aerocool cylon 4? It has really nice aesthetic

Seems similar to the other coolers you're looking at.

Long story short - i have 2 high end cpu coolers and really need only one.

It's Ice Hammer IH-THOR and Cryorig R1 ultimate, do you think THOR with better tube soldering to the base can outperform R1?

This is R1 ultimate

Spoiler

And this is THOR

Spoiler

Thor have much better contact, but i will have to resuply it with new thermalright mounting kit because original been lost. I have fans to put on. Which one to keep?

I wish i could just go and test it, but my current cooler remains permanently atached because of a busted screw, i am holding these babies for the next build.

Appearances aside, the results seem to be that the R1 Ultimate performs better.

If i recall correctly, overclockers.ru also had a copy of perfectly soldered R1.

There was another russian test of old phanteks TC14PE with good soldering and the new revision with bad soldering (or no soldering at all) on 3dnews

The new revision loses in every scenario with every set of fans, so it is reasonable to assume i might be facing the similar results. Well, i will most likely keep the R1 because i bought it not only for efficiency, but also for the looks.

Still.. I would very much prefer to get the perfect copy that every single reviewer seemed to get when it was out.

Edit: it's obviously not terrible, you should've seen my Le Grand Macho RT.. Here at least tubes make contact on one side and both halves of the base plates are very tight to each other.
