I was bored one day and decided to do this, is it stupid (also the pc isn’t fully built selling it to a friend and he’s getting more parts)

I mean, I doubt you'd hurt anything by doing that, but I don't believe you'd get any tangible boost in cooling performance that way, either, haha. Are you powering it off of a controllable header, or just plain molex? I can't imagine that the top fan would be very quiet running at full blast all the time.

I wouldn't call it stupid. Arguably you could call it redundancy but I would say I don't think you'll see any performance increase from it.

Fans need to be identical to even have something going on. If they don't spin same speed and close to same cycle, you are harming performance rather than improving it.

Well the fan thats clear doesnt have a controllable rpm so its loud 24/7 and I used that pc for 2 years so I got super used to it

The cpu under is an fx 4300 and it never got super hot in the first place just felt like zip tieing a fan
