EVE V Tablet - Crowd Sourced Surface Competitor

Nice device. I would be interested but unfortunately the price is still outside my price range.

My favorite EVE VI quote is, "It's sickening how comforting the privacy of the mind can be".

I noticed on the website it's compatible with the Surface 2017 pen. Does using that pen instead make the writing experience better?

Tested it and it's actually worse.

The keyboard also has Bluetooth built in so it can be used wirelessly for up to 3 devices I believe.

Aaaaand dropped. Was hoping for a more IO-rich version of surface pro 4, but the Y-series processor and worse stylus(even the SP4 one feels noticeably worse than any decent graphic tablet) kills the deal for me. I guess I'm left with spectre x360 as the only option now.

maybe gen 2 might feature snapdragon processor.

Are there x86 Snapdragon CPUs/SOCs? If not, it'd cease being  Surface competitor. Does MS even make ARM variants of Windows 10 or "RT" versions of Surface anymore?

Eve-Tech is not fulfilling orders. People have been waiting since December. Unfortunately, most have moved long past the point where a refund is possible. If you purchased one, file a chargeback immediately.

If you've been waiting for product since December file a complaint. Eve-Tech is in violation of the law. Specifically, the FTC rules for prompt delivery.

http://www.ftc.gov/tips-advice/business-center/guidance/selling-internet-prompt-delivery-rules

Quote

For definite delays of up to 30 days, you may treat the customer’s silence as agreeing to the delay. But for longer or indefinite delays — and second and subsequent delays — you must get the customer’s written, electronic, or verbal consent to the delay. If the customer doesn’t give you his okay, you must promptly refund all the money the customer paid you without being asked by the customer

There are people for whom a laptop purchase is giant. Some people can't afford to wait in limbo for a work machine and would be devastated by a $1700 theft. If you've been waiting since December, you were ripped off. If they took your money and never delivered it, that's fraud, report it.

Report it to PayPal. Call customer service and make sure to email PayPal's Acceptable Use Policy or AUP Compliance Department at: aupviolations@paypal.com

Report it to Shopify. They are the e-commerce platform of eve-tech.com. Email their customer service and fill out the form here http://www.shopify.com/legal/report-aup-violation

Report it to your Credit Card or Bank. Make sure to quote the FTC law being violated, tell them you have not been reimbursed.

Report it to GoDaddy. contact them and tell them that this site took your money without delivering product.

MasterCard has an online form where you can report fraud, take a moment to make sure they are aware of your situation: http://www.mastercard.us/en-us/merchants/safety-security/suspect-fraud.html

If you're in the United States contact your State Attorney General or local consumer protection office, here's a list:
http://www.usa.gov/state-consumer

If you are in the United States the Office for Victims of Crime offers up help finding pro-bono lawyers to take your case on if you don't have the means to hire one yourself. This is for Identity theft _and_ fraud.

https://www.ovc.gov/pubs/ID_theft/representation.html

I'm posting this here hoping it finds people before it's too late to get reimbursed. If you have lost your money and are reading this please consider filing the complaints anyway. Tell your story to help prevent this company from continuing to take money from people who don't have all the facts.
