Depends if you wanna overclock. I don't particularly like cooler master as a brand, but thats just me.

I agree the 212 is good value in the US, but where I live, stuff that is a good deal better is available for not much more cost.

Sync RGB fans with motherboard RGB header.

Thats the whole build thus far. So thats cutting my budget pretty close if that tells u anything. :) I wont be OC, if thats the issue with the cpu cooler. And as for liquid cooling, I kind of steer clear of that.

Theres a slight issue with this. Doesn't OC void warranties for parts and such namely the cpu and even possibly the cooler for the cpu? That's mainly why I wanted the 1700x instead, though that build is damn good, but I also already have a 5tb external I'll mainly be using. Just realized the 1080ti is in that list....wow...Still worried about warranties though...

The chance of you breaking CPU from OC is really low. just stay under 1.41v on Ryzen and u should be good. I would try to keep it under 1.4 or 1.375 tho

Such a damn good build though. Maybe I could take out the HDD possibly, and use that leftover money to make up a bit to get the 1700x

You'd need to run some extremely high voltages for really long periods on high loads to break things with OC. If you watch any guide on OC, you won't be hitting those limits.

As for cooler, I would still go for something else than 212. H7 is marginally better, Pure Rock would be best pick from cheap coolers.

If you lived near a MicroCenter you could get a 1700x for $289.99 + $30 off mobo.

If you're not gonna OC then why not just use the stock cooler. The Wraith Spire even has RGB on the 1700 and should be fine.

CM products are solid i use them frequently a 212 EVO is more then enough you could buy an extra 120mm fan for that it comes with brackets/screws and rubber pads to mount a 2nd fan.
