search for monition/ is 1ms nesicary

Kd4lif3

Imm looking to buy a monitor and i have kinda hit a wall. I want to buy local (preferably) at memory express and I was looking for somthing with a high refresh rate (144hz) and I want to knoiw if 1ms is nesicary. Ive heard that for 120hz it is untoticable at 5ms but idk what to do for 144. Is 1ms nesicary or noticible on a 144hz monitor?

GTG doesn't matter nowadays, that is not input delay by the way which is what would matter, any 144hz will have decent enough input delay and as mention worrying with GTG is pointless.

the "response time" advertised. Short answer is:

No it isn't necessary to get 1ms, 5ms is enough.

You can ignore the ms number, it doesn't mean anything useful.

Refresh rate, type of panel, contrast, that kind of stuff.

Just ignore the ms.

Just read reviews, they will say there if it has bad contrast ratio.

Most of the time it's not an issue.

Personal preference go check some out IRL if you can. Like on display at best but or something.

I ordered a moniter off Newegg and it was terrible when it came. Washed out whites and really briggt even with darkness down and contrast down.

And it was a $500 moniter RMA it and got the same issue so I assume it's just how it comes.
