Starting bmx

laushik

so I come from a background of skateboarding and mountain biking and I was wondering if I should get into bmx and also where and what kind of bmx bike do I get. Also is bmx as fun as it looks? On places like YouTube it really seems like it would be really fun.

Depending on where you live you will prob get a better deal on a complete off Kijiji or Craigslist. if you have to buy new then I would recommend your LBS because they get a better deal on the bike then you will be able to get online.

Do you like BMX tracks?

Thats about all their good for mate. You want a mode of transportation, then a 700c road bike or mountain cross bike is good. I myself go mountain bike, but I go electric. I just did 35km today, went to both banks, had a bite to eat at the grocery stores cafe' then to the gas bar to pick up some carbonated water, then I fucked around for a bit around the large pond, then I just cruised aimlessly. Its a load of fun, you could do the same with BMX if you wanted to.

How old are you?

How tall are you?

Heck yeah bmx can be loads of fun! To be honest you don't need the most expensive bike to start off. Just try it and see if you like it or not, you can always get a better bike later.

Personally I'm riding trial and I'm really considering getting a cheap bmx to go to the local skatepark and cruise around there as my 24 inch trial bike isn't really suited that well for skateparks.
