Little Devil - Watercooled Build

I've been working on and off with this pc for a while now, finally getting it so that its looking someway decent.

Specs for the moment are:

3820

32gb ram

7970's in CF running 3 28" screens

ax1200 watt psu

128gb Samsung 840 pro

3 * 2tb drives

A tonne of watercooling Gear

Little Devil Rig

 

 

I will be upgrading to a 4930k and (2 * 290x's or 2 * 780tis watercooled) in the january/February.

 

I started to watercool my rig and this is some of the progress

Just added most of the new fittings to my loop and redid the layout. I now have the front drive bay res connected and connected to a fill port on the case to make filling the machine easier.

All these are before I filled the loop. As soon as I pick up two ram blocks and bitspower extensions I have more 90deg fittings ready to make the loop look nicer.

I will be spraying all the inside of the case black as at the moment there is too much red and I will be doing the typhoons in white as I think the grey is ruining the look of the build.

Few more updates as nearly finished it bar the normal upgrades gpu/cpu etc.
I finally got the memory blocks and most of the last of the fittings I need.
I've ordered the final bits from a place called highflow in netherlands which are mostly extenders to raise the level of the cpu/motherboard blocks up to the level of the memory blocks and a t fitting so I can remove the front drive bay res.









Finally the parts arrived, my measurements where off again so I had to alter the route slightly but it seems okay. The part on the bottom of the right ram block will be crystal link when I replace all fittings with crystal link.

I was dissappointed with the temps I was getting in my loop so I decided to alter the flow of the liquid so it was going down through the blocks to make it easier.

I will put led's on the ram and gpu blocks to match the look of the cpu block and I might get the case resprayed black.

This is my desk setup, a bit messy but you get the idea

I use a shirt for a rest as anything thicker is just uncomfortable

I also have the screens at a very wide angle as it then makes eyefinity seem more natural and the secondary screens are used as peripheral monitors then. It immerses you in the game more when all you can see is the screens and nothing else

I've picked up a 290x for this and I've ordered a raystorm waterblock and backplate for it as I was getting sick of the amd frame pacing driver issue that has not been rectified yet with the crossfire eyefinity 7970's.

I had to rma my 290x in the end . I am waiting on it since the 15th of jan (Still waiting to get it back). I got reallly impatient so bought another one in the mean time.

I got my new 290x yesterday so I decided I couldn't wait for my photon res to arrive which I have on order also because of the low quality of the t-virus res and just tried it out



Will get a decent pic and have proper dye in it when the photon res arrives.
I'm not sure what I will do with the second 290x if I ever get it back from rma. If I put it in this it means will have to watercool it also

Finally got a chance to put the res in the pc, idle temps dropped from the low 30's to low 20's with just switching the res (Not sure how but i'm happy ).
You can ignore the colour of the dye as i'm just testing it out with plain water and the bit of dye that wasnt drained out to see if I was happy with the layout.

 

I'm not sure if I should keep the other 290x when I get it back and watercool it also or just leave it as it is and sort the crystal link stuff first.

Thanks, it will look alot better when I can replace the compression fittings with crystal link fittings and hard tubing though.

I just got news my rma'd 290x is being replaced and will be posted back to me from overclockers.co.uk asap so will get to cf the cards soon .
Cursious to see how frame pacing is on eyefinity without the crossfire cables
