Fully customized GTX 1050ti SSC [PICS][VIDEO]

H0R53

Okay...please read this bit before posting.

This GPU is broken. There's no power going to the core. I can fix it, but I currently lack the tools. Aside from that, there is power to the memory and the fan.

How did I do this? I had a GTX 650 that died a painful death, and it's roughly the same size and the mounting holes for the heat sink are the same for the 1050ti. I just unscrewed it and put it on the 1050ti SSC.

The paint is glossy red Rust-o-leum paint I got at Lowes.

The fan is an 80mm fan I bought from China that I cut from its mount, glued in place, stripped the wires, and then attached to the fan header on the card.

Since this one is DEAD I bought the FTW version, and I will most likely do the same.

A broken 1050ti on a 650 cooler.

No, with the FTW I'll probably paint it red and add blue LED fans.

Can you post reasons why you think it looks bad? Maybe areas I can improve on?

That's a test bench. I use it to test PCI/PCIEx hardware and LGA 77x era hardware since the motherboard supports ALL LGA 77x processors.

You should see my Izzet League themed PC. Red and blue galore. I'll post them in a bit if you want. red is my favourite color, and blue comes next.

It's a 300W PSU from a Dell Optiplex 755 that I sold.

I know what you meant.

Unless you know a place where I can buy a red ACX 3.0 1050ti FTW with blue LED fans, the best thing you can provide is constructive criticism.

Because the fans on the ACX 3.0 variant are 92mm I have to buy 92mm slim fans. I'm also out of paint because I've painted my bicycle with 4 coats, my 1050ti SSC, and my GTX 460 SE.

Why didn't you get the MSI Gaming X version?

Because it's ugly. It's too facet-y.

As of writing I have a GTX 950 FTW and a GTX 460 in my rig, for multiple reasons.

1. I don't have an iGPU

2. I'm not gonna buy adapters just to connect my screens

3. My rig looks ugly with only 1 GPU. It was made for XFire but I don't like AMD anymore.

The 1050ti FTW will more or less match the styling of the 950 FTW, and their coolers are interchangeable.

My current plan is to buy 2 red and 2 blue 92mm slim fans, and a new can of paint. Both cards are going to be red, each with a red and a blue fan.

My build is red, blue, and black (Izzet League/Grixis, colors from Magic: The Gathering).

According to @Dutch-stoner I'm not the best painter in the world but I make do with what I have. I'd rather have my GPUs fully customized than completely stock. Depending on who your target is you may be able to sell it for more once it's customized if you do a good job. I'm getting better at it, but my spray painting is sloppy.

Here's a pic of the 1050ti SSC before the stock 650 fan broke:
