Cheapest Curved Ultrawide Monitor?

I have asked a question regarding some monitor suggestions before, but I still haven't seem to have made up my mind.

So today my question is this; which is the cheapest curved ultra wide monitor out there right now?

I'd like to have two answers regarding this;

1. include non-name brands, brands that aren't well-known

2. exclude such brands, and only include brand name monitors such as LG, Samsung, etc.

I'd really love an affordable curved ultra wide monitor, so any help is appreciated.

Cheers!

The cheapest curved ultrawide I can found from PCPP is the LG 29UC88-B (still it's not that cheap)

Any more options? I bet there's cheaper than that.

Cheaper, maybe. It will require some hunting, and some luck.... But I'm sure there is something out there. The reason I say luck is because some of the smaller brands that aren't well known tend to cut corners and it tends to show in the quality. Samsung, LG, ASUS, Acer, and BenQ are some of the better quality brands out there, and they have established that kind of reputation for themselves. That's part of why they can get away with charging so much, and why people trust them. Yes, you'll find people who will have a bad experience with any product.

Why do curved monitors cost so much anyway? LG has a very decent flat 21:9 29" FHD monitor for only $300, but yet all their curved ones surpass the $500 mark. Why so? And how long will it be until we finally see cheaper options for 21:9 curved monitors.

You're doing the wrong bet, the market is a lot more limited than it seems, I would personally have a x34 predator curved as it is the full package, 100hz ultra wide 1440p 34inch perfect pixel density, a monitor you can use for the next 15 years... I'll buy one next year when Volta comes.

If you still want ultrawide, the best cheap alternative is the 29UM68-P I have one and I can assure you it already gives the full ultrawide luxury feeling, awesome panel, 2560x1080p sweetspot is 29inch... 75hz~85hz depending on OC... IPS Matte panel, Best cost-to-benefice by sure.

To be honest the only difference to the one people are advising is that it isn't curved, but I really don't feel it is worth paying 200+ dollars for the exact same monitor just a bit curved.

We never will, 21:9 is a luxury market, look on steam surveys and what not only a very small selected public buys those, if you want one you gotta be willing to pay its price, it's not marketed on mass like normal 16:9 monitors.

I see. Thanks for your replies. I'm open for further suggestions but I really doubt there will be any good ones.

It sure is unfortunate that such monitors honestly need a huge investment, which is tough when most of the investment goes into the main part (the PC).

LG offers cheaper alternatives if you look for them. I've found several for about $500-$600, curved ultra wide, and a name brand. Sure the refresh rate isn't the same, and it's 1080p, but once again, it's more reliable.

Thanks for everyone's help.

Cheers!

LG offers equivalent monitors for $1000+++

These are good options to get 1440*3440 curved, 1080p isn't as worthwhile for curved IMO as it gets blurry when you get to 34"

I'm really not concerned with reliability, these monitors are probably good enough, in fact that's what Linus decided after test driving this VIOTEK monitor, and to be honest I would buy one of those if it meant saving good money, but they are not brought to Brazilian market therefore no gains here, the cheapest one is the x34 and trust me it isn't cheap at all xD

Question, would dual monitors be a better choice than a single ultra wide, or even a curved ultra wide?

Let's just say we're comparing dual LG 23MP68VQs against the LG 29UM68 21:9 monitor?

Which would be a better choice?

Cheers!

IMO ultrawide.  You're dealing with a couple of 21:9 junkies though so this is a skewed answer

Quick question regarding this, as I have been considering this monitor quite a lot; is the glossiness of the bezels and the back really that bad? I'm wondering how cheap it looks and feels overall, so what's your idea of it?

I honestly feel it doesn't look cheap at all, it is a very decently made monitor, compared to what you get on that price range on the old 16:9 monitors I consider it a no brainer really... very worth
