Planning a PC Backwards

unassumingmelon

Hi! I suppose I should start this with an explanation.... I work in IT so I have built and rebuilt a few dozen computers. I am graduating college in May (Yay!) and I am looking to replace my alienware alpha to a legitimate PC. For the record, I'd totally recommend an alpha for college students! It is easy to move and powerful enough mine is going in the living room! Through my job I picked up a lot of PC components through trade, repair, or whatever.  These parts are a bit disjointed and are guiding my build.

I have a job lined up which will allow me to work from home. I need to have the power to handle some video editing, some CAD software/3d work and I play a handful of games. I am not a 4k kind of lady, I just want a solid powerful computer. My budget is pretty flexible at the moment.

My main goals: Quiet and small! I would prefer as close to fanless as possible. I want something with great bones with room to improve it. I am not looking for "future proof" or ultra powerful.  I am a HUGE cable management freak so I want a case with awesome cable management.

What I have:

2- 1 TB WD Blue HDD

      1- 250 GB 850 EVO SSD

      1- PNY GeForce GTX 1050 TI  4 GB GDDR5

       2- 8GB DDR4 at  2133MHz

What I am probably getting

     I5-6400 - I am not an overclocker and is a solid price/performance

650 Watt Corsair SFX Power supply- fits in case and room for future graphics card upgrades

Gigabyte GA-H170N-WIFI - Mini ITX, USB type C, LGA 1151, M.2 compatible, black color,-- Not many choices. If you know of something similar/better please let me know!

My main debate.....

I love the BH2 mitx case in the berry color. http://www.caselabs-store.com/bullet-bh2-mitx-case-customizable/

I am not fond of the delayed shipping (MAY?!?!?) and I am unsure if I should go ahead and buy such an expensive case for my first personal build. I love the size, horizontal motherboard, cable management opportunities, build quality, and color.

Do you have a suggestion for a different case with similar build quality? Do you have a suggestion for a different but similar case? If you have any experience with this case I would love to hear your experiences!

Cooling!?!?!? In the future I'd love to look into AIO/liquid cooling but I have not decided what I should get for now? Any recommendations for quiet, small, decent air coolers? At the moment my plan is build system with stock cooler and find out what I need.

Thoughts overall?

Thanks!

I picked up a Corsair C70 for $50. It's an ugly military green though...

Not the same style case, however one that I think is an awesome case and allows for AiO cooling would be the phanteks evolv ITX case http://pcpartpicker.com/product/2kTrxr/phanteks-case-phes215pbk

it is like a hundred dollars cheaper, and in my opinion looks much nicer aesthetically.

Do you want a super flashy case, or a more professional-looking case? I assume you want a window because of the cable management obsession :) Tempered glass looks nicer than plastic. Are you worried about durability? Do you want a 'silent' case?

somewhere between flashy and professional? I definitely want a window but durability is very important to me! With my job I will be moving every 6-9 months so I am trying to keep my home office light but powerful. Tempered glass is okay... but I haven't really loved any tempered glass cases.

I don't particularly care about silent cases just silent cooling :)
