How to know if my motherboard supports overclocking?

I want to build a new pc with i5-6600k but I'm not sure if the motherboard I'm going to buy can handle the overclocking.

If it has a Z in the name.

AMD is anything, they didn't use letters.

For AMD, practically all of their boards on the AM3+ platform support overclocking. It's just that the higher tier boards (with 990x, 990FX chipsets) would have better power circuitry to handle the power demands when overclocking.

For new. Z170 and Z270 are the same price. Buy the newer Z270.
