New razer keyboards with yellow switches

Today I saw a black widow chroma v2 at microcenter and bought it, comes with the same wrist rest as the Mecha-membrane one (ornata) and looks similar. I noticed on the back they advertise a new switch that is linear, and "razer yellow" with a 1.2mm actuation, no doubt to combat the rapid fire from corsair. I can't find anything about these online so I had to buy it, of course.

Too bad it's still "razer", can't really get rid of that part by changing the switches.

Nice. Always good to see more selection, and I think the lower actuation point switches are going to be what I try and get on my next keyboard if O rings don't do quite what I want them to.

I think their keyboards are the only thing they make that I actually didn't mind. I liked their take on Blues a lot more.

As long as it was the Chroma version.

That's just on build and key feel alone though. I don't think they're at all worth their price.

That's just on build and key feel alone though. I don't think they're at all worth their price.

 

quality is a issue with them still. a k70 is a really good keyboard in my experience, i would get it over the razer keyboard.

Eh, I wasn't a fan of the K70. It's not that great of a value IMO, a bit overpriced.

the quality is pretty good i think, the build is amazing. personally, think it's worth paying a bit extra.

The keys were too loud (though that's just my opinion of most Blues), the volume wheel is sticky.

I got the KM.780 and love it. Same build materials, better attention to detail, more features, $80 cheaper.

i am not really into keyboards i tried the k70 and heard good things abut them bought them. i just turn off the RGB and use it as a keyboard.

Why would you pay extra for the RGB version and then not use it?

Haven't heard anything about that, could you take a few pictures and upload them?

Agree with Kleever, Razer doesn't have anywhere on their own website about Yellow switches

It interesting to me that razer has become the Alienware of the past for so many people - their products have significantly improved and the propriety switch comment makes me LOL when almost every other company does the same thing: Logitech daskeyboard azio etc

So that's an unannounced product and Razer's Yellow Switches are their variant of the Cherry MX Speed Silver.
