I really liked the build log, it was casual as it gets. What I hated was the SSD management. I may not see it but I know it's there.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

Since LTT has access to a wide range of hardware, please do a test to test how the DMI 3.0 behaves in a situation where it is completely saturated.

Since modern NVMe storage can almost completely saturate the DMI 3.0 on its own, I would like to see what happens if you run a PCI express sound card (e.g., a soundblaster Z), as well as an NVMe SSD, in addition to probably 1 or 2 SATA SSDs, all at full load.

The PCH does not have QOS, thus I would like to see what will happen when in a situation where there is not enough throughput to go around. Will the audio from the soundcard become choppy? Will the SSDs behave strangely.

Will some previously unknown congestion management process kick in?

As storage becomes faster and the PCH has to share bandwidth with many parts of the system, this can become a real issue.

hummm I did not really enjoy this build log.... don't get me wrong... I love all your videos, but this one felt a bit rushed... maybe it's only me... For example ok that the cpu will be the new 10core but you didn't even mention it(if I am not mistaken) and no pci-nvme? like the 950 pro?

I liked the fact that was not just you putting stuff together but I didn't really enjoy it that much!

So correct me if I'm wrong...

But with the Rampage V Ed 10 and 4-way SLI, you're getting only PCIe 3.0 x8 for the four Titans, and the bottom Titan has to share its link with the NVMe drive?

Isn't that going to throw some bottlenecks in the system, if not for gaming then for tasks that make better use of the 4-way SLI?

But yes, definitely build a watercooling loop for the GPUs so they don't hit that 88º centigrade ceiling.

did you guys actually get any game to use more then 2 pascal cards at one time? from everything i have read even the games that will start up will only use 1 and some % of a 2nd and then 3rd or 4th stay idle and then in other games it will just not run with more then 2 plugged in.

I think some series of builds logs that will be specific for different work environment like twitch streamer, musician, photographer, video editor, programator, product designer... can be pretty interesting.

What PC i need if I wanna to be..

also with screens and peripherals they are different too

This build log it's more just for first impression than u release its dont have much sense..

Finally watched it... found it amusing the problems Luke had with the components, more so than what the components were. I don't think I've ever had a build that didn't require a change of plans at some point for something that didn't work out as expected. AIOs are the worst for that...

the 4 way sli is not gonna work unless Luke modifies the driver and use the nVidia inspector

also

he need to use the EVGA 2.0 4 way SLi bridge to be sure it will work

also not all games support 4 way with the new GPUs. example Witcher 3
