1440p 60fps vs 1080p 144hz

So I'm looking for a monitor and can't decide between the two. This is my rig right now:

I will be using it for gaming like Witcher 3 or games alike.

So which is better? Also what would be the cheapest, but good 1440p 144hz monitor.

I would rather do 144Hz personally, but the question is, do you like pretty games, or responsive games?

1440p 144hz is pretty expensive. It's what I was going to buy. That 1440p monitor is probably the best you can get for the price, and I would go with it, as 1070 is a little overkill for 1080p. Even 144hz. Just my opinion.

Why did you go with that power supply when there are ones that are 2-3x better for the same cost?

 

Also, resolution determines the # of pixels, making the image seem more crisp, while a refresh rate just tells you how many frames it can fit in 1 second. I would go with the 1440p monitor as it will look better.

Unless you play a lot of CSGO and other competitive fast games, I would go with 1440p.

Alright, I'll go with the 1440p.

How did you find a 1440p 144hz monitor as cheap as a 4K 60hz monitor? 144hz is so expensive it seems.

It's 60hz. All the places to buy say it. Idk why PCPartPicker says 144hz. Maybe if you over clock
