Guys, I don't think this is an aliasing issue. Check out my video, I found something which is quite interesting. The AA works, there's performance impact, but the results are not as we would want to expect. 

Also, it's not a electrical issue. Because this video has been recorded on a UPS battery, which was unplugged from the wall socket.

I think it has more to do with windows scaling. I will try using linux soon and see if the issue persists. 

It could also be a faulty hardware or software bug that does not apply AA properly.

Also, the aliasing is aggravated when light is shining directly on thin objects and edges. (quite obvious)

I have no answers for why there is low LOD and popping.

You forgot to add low draw distance, object pop up's, and texture shimering to list.

We don't know for sure if is eletricity causing this problems in games and don't focus only on the bad AA in games.

 

Symptoms are bad AA, low draw distance, texture/objects shimering and objects pop up's.

I have been living at my house for over 25 years and I have been gaming since over 10 years. It's just three years ago when my computer shut down due to a power failure and when I booted it up, everything was jaggy. I have replaced everything in my computer, including monitor. I am not sure what's happening. If it's electricity, why didn't it happen before? I clearly remember that it happened after my computer restarted from a power failure.

I also got my GPU RMAed but I'm not sure if the GPU was replaced.

distance shaken like crazy ı read some forum threads and they say ıts happen over night and never goes away,ım scared why this shit happen to me all of sudden.ı try every setting combo on nvidia panel but ı think ı broke something on my pc and ı dont know how to fix it and it appear there is no solution out there (ı was testing on fallout 4 and fallout 76 btw)

Hello guys 

I live in France near Paris 

Just replaced my old 970 by a ASUS ROG  STRIG 2070 Super and guess what ? 

I have graphical issues that I had not before with my 970 !! 

The Outer Worlds in Ultra all settings : 

texture and objects pop in pop out when I move (objects, rock and wall textures) 

GTA V (tested with all different settings to low to high) 

facking freezes and a lot of trees, Bush pop in even people and cars ! In the sky or in a car, far or close, had not with my 970!!) I fixed the freezes with some settings in the bios but not the pop in problems 

this is just crazy, why an electrical problem? No issues like that with my 970 !! Or maybe we need to buy a 1500wts alim??? This is just crazy and unbeleivable to spend 600 dollars in a videocard and have more issues than the old 

and no comment from NVIDIA? No fix ?

My games are pretty, the graphics are good I Have just the textures popin issues, lightning problems (Sparkles) and anti aliasing sparkles too in some games like GTA but its too much for a 600 dollars graphic card 

I pray for someone identify the problem and fix it (directx ? Please mircosoft, do something!! Or NVIDIA please dont let us like that )

Oh I tried everything guys, in the bios, in the NVIDIA settings, i spent many nights to check, change settings etc... the only thing i did not change is HARDWARE, like change my pci express port or change RAM etc...

I dont want to, why my 970 worked fine and now i have to manipulate my hardware for a 600 dollars card, just no, no and no

I was gonna make a new thread. So I have two high end computers, one is a PC and the other is a laptop and this problem which Is the low LOD (or the pop ups from far) still persists on both of them. I used assassin creed origin on both. I tried many changes mentioned here but to no avail.

Just wanted to throw this out there.  I have a similar but slightly different variation of this issue.  While my display is affected in similar ways (blurry, some jaggy edges, and lots of hitching), the main symptoms of my issues are input delay, inputs dropped, de synchronized inputs etc.  Also sound quality is muddied and poor.  You may have seen the Nvidia topic on it and I had the exact symptoms that guy did.  If you have my issues they are absolutely electrically caused.  I have 100% beyond doubt confirmed that.  Power conditioners, Online UPS, Shielding, Ferrite and Toroid cores/filters, and a host of other things that affect electrical flow all affect the severity of my issues.  Like Meeseeks stated this problem also affects all devices: consoles, TVs, PCs, mobile phones, laptops running on battery, and interferes with Wifi and network signals in the home.   My PCs and devices work absolutely fine at my friends house in another city.  There is no damage to my components. 

 

I also confirmed that there is an electrical issue with the infrastructure around my residence that leads to a problematic scenario.  This has to do with article 250.6 of NEC: Objectionable current on a grounding conductor.  I have not solved this issue- and the only people I know that did moved locations.  However I do have some leads on the cause which could potentially lead to a solution.  If you want to know more PM me and I will point you in the right direction.  I do not have time to argue that this is not electrically caused so if you disagree, then so be it I cannot convince you.  However I have observed it all first hand, have adequate data and received professional guidance to get to the point I have.  Thanks and good luck everyone.

I 100% think its a windows scaling. I have a new panel in my house with new breakers and my computer is on its own line... I highly doubt its electrical. I also ran it from ups and never had same sorta issues. Im trying to get a original copy of windows 10 before updates to see if I can figure it out from there.

Electrical problems have multiple flavors.  I own an Online UPS and have tested on battery.  There is still radiated interference (EMI/RFI) and that interference can couple to cables (acting as antennas).  How do I know this is the case?  My Online UPS (double conversion) will filter the AC mains fully by converting it twice from AC to DC and then the PSU will do this once as well (transients cannot traverse this process) however there are 2 things a UPS cannot do as far as electrical problems are concerned.  It cannot solve issues of interference being radiated within your home, and it cannot solve "noisy ground" problems as the ground (protective earth) is passed through however by disconnecting the UPS you are effectively floating the ground which will rule that out.  How do I know its radiated interference in my case?  Because placing shielding material around my cables or even placing a pseudo Faraday cage around my monitor will make the display much smoother as well as improve my input consistency.  Hope that clears things up.  And like you I have a brand new panel, circuit breaker, outlets and even a brand new meter base and neutral feeder connections and yet I still have this issue because it is not local in the sense of my house.  It is an infrastructure issue regarding electrical continuity of multiple homes (via water lines) and how unbalanced return current can create large electrical/magnetic fields.   I have confirmed as such with a proper Gauss meter, that the levels in my home are highly elevated.  

 

 

Although if you do not have issues in line with what I have we could be speaking to entirely different things which I suspect many people in this thread have different problems going on.   Maybe only a few in this thread share my problem but for the sake of awareness I am sharing so that folks know it is possible for an electrical issue to cause these things.

So why an electrical problem should impact my brand new card and not the older ?

Simply put it sounds like you and I are not experiencing the same issue at all.   Although I have some issues with LOD, Textures, Jagged shadows and the like I have much more severe and apparent issues than that which point directly to electrical being the cause.  I am not saying your issues are caused by electrical, I am saying that it is possible though and you will need to explore that yourself.

I have tested different OS like Linux, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 and problem is on other OS as well!

So what is "windows scaling" got in your heads now!? How can "windows scaling" produce problems like low draw distance, object pop up's, shimmering textures bad AA?

For the electrical cause of this mayhem on our devices we need a proof so don't exclude electricity!

Minecraft does not AA built in. If you install optifine and turn on 16x AA all the jaggies will go away

I'm so lazy  So disgusted... so everything so I didnt test yet, even change my 2070 super to the other PCI Expres Port, I'm managing a webradio and mixing to another and wokring in IT the week so, I will when I will have time and I will tell you !
