Build Title: Widow Maker | It will kill your components
Description: This is a build that comes with idiocy sweat tears and blood. It has has killed more components that you can count on two hands, it is definitely not the best looking build but it has character and a past. It has gone from a X79 build with a Giagbyte Assassin 2 and a GTX 650 built in Egypt with horrible prices to a 4790k gaming build with a GTX 690 in a cardboard case and finally settling into a H440. There is no way you can fit the character of this build in a short description you really do have to check the log.
I am most proud of the performance I am able to get under $700 USD

Build Title: MintyFresh Watercooling
Description: Most Ghetto of the ghetto. This is what happens when a group of highschoolers have an hour for lunch everyday. The whole loop is custom made and the temps went from 90C to 63C overclocked to 3.1ghz.

Build Title: Nilfheim Contained

Description: My goal for this build was to fit as much hardware as possible into the smallest case that can fit 2 GPUs and custom liquid cooling. This is the result. After going through some dead DDR4, and a dead motherboard I decided to upgrade from the SLI 780 ti Kingpins that I was initially going to put in it and went with SLI 980 Classifieds. It also has a 5930k with 32GB of DDR4 ram, 4 Crucial MX100 512GB ssds in RAID 0 for 2TBs of SSD storage total on the Asus X99M WS board. All in a 390mm x 380mm x 220mm modded case (Silverstone TJ08-E). The great thing about this build is that the main parts are all white and black so I can change the color of the fluid to anything and it would match.

Build Title - TOXIC CHROME

Thread URL - http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/343799-toxic-chrome-modded-corsair-250d

Description - I would like to enter my TOXIC CHROME Corsair 250D build! Fully custom watercooled 250D with the idea behind it being to fit as much watercooling gear as I could while keeping things nice and clean. With two reservoirs inside, two radiators and watercooling on the CPU, GPU and RAM, all with PETG tubing, I think the build came out very clean and definitely packed full of watercooling gear. Some of the mods done to the build, which are all by hand, are 3 custom window panels, different mountings inside the case as well as the awesome custom front panel. Have a look for yourself and let me know what you think!

Build Title: BIG BOY
Description: I´m introducing here my new Corsair 600C build. It packs not only a ridiculous amount of PC power, but features also full custom watercooling including PETG and an external radiator. No fans or radiators in the actual build needed! I like to build my PCs nice and very clean and as silent as possible. With this current build noise isn´t a topic at all. The 600C was modded to fit all my needs for this build. Besides looks the system overclocks all components very decent. I wanted to go with a 3 color build and I think the result looks great! From my personal stand point I can say, that this build is definitely an eye catcher. Check out my build log and leave me a comment.

Build Title: THE RIDDLER

Thread URL: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/149652-green-h440-special-edition-the-riddler-completed/

Description: Here's my Riddler H440 Build! What you'll notice first is the extensive airbrushed mural on the outside of the case. Another vivid aspect is it's bright green fluid that complements the purple in the build, using purple anodized screws for more color as well as purple and green PET sleeving, I toned the green down a little by purchasing a Redharbinger FMJ series reservoir cover. I placed the reservoir up front, horizontally  between the GPU and PSU shroud, by drilling holes in the PSU shroud to mount the reservoir on the EK reservoir brackets so it would sit comfortably underneath my GPU. I mounted my EK PWM DDC pump on the backside of the hard drive cage to mount it up. I then purchased PETG tubing and a heat gun and taught myself how to bend, all done free handed. For all the details in the build, I bought a Silhouette Cameo and added decals with vinyl to give it that little extra something.

Description: This is my CaseLabs S5. For a while I had dreamt of building with this case, color scheme and hardline tubing. So finally I got the chance to do all of those. It took a few month to get it all build and completed, but I think it was completely worth it, and I would like to expand on the build sometime in the future.

Build Title: Power Cell

Thread URL:

Description:   A Cylinder PC with water cooling loop that runs inside and outside of the case. This is my first ever Scratch build, and only my second PC Mod. I wanted it to be different from any other PC out there, And the only way I could do that was to build one from the ground up. I wanted it to run very cool and still stand out from the normal square looking PC. So I sat down and started to design one. And from the start I know it had to be a round case and needed to be themed based, And Star Wars was first on my list of themes. The Power Cell has 3 x 120 slim EK rads in the top part of the case, Each rad has 2 fans fitted to it in a push pull taking air from the inside of the case blowing it out the top. The cool air is pulled in from the bottom vents at the base of the case, That air enters the case from under the back of MoBo cooling it as well.

The water cooling loop runs in and out of the case 3 times each time parsing through one of the rads then runs back to one of the outer case res'es 3 times then to the res in the center then to the CPU then back to the pump and then repeats,

Description: I have been wanting a badass custom built gaming computer ever since I started watching Linus Tech Tips and getting into the PC world. After recently acquiring sufficient funds to do so, I decided to finally go through with it. There are no amazing mods or any world firsts, but for being my first ever custom rig, running into many unanticipated difficulties along the way, and doing everything with the limited skills and tools that I have, I think it turned out beautifully.

Build Title: Mineral Oil HTPC, in a fish tank, with fish.

Description: Combining two projects of mine that were long overdue I have finally succeeded in building my fully function mineral oil cooled HTPC and put it inside a fish tank with actual living fish.  No the fish aren't in the oil; geez I get asked this a lot.  I literally sit down on my couch, turn the TV and amp on, turn the HTPC on with a double click of my wireless remote/mouse/keyboard and voila!  There are 21 fish in total.  It's a mess, but a pretty, and functional mess :)

Build Title: The "How do you like your GPUs? Medium-Well?" Gold Rig

Thread URL: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/545259-gold-rig/

Description: After my last system, which was black and red (haha every PC ever) I was getting tired of this color sheme, and was interested in using an uncommon accent color. Gold it was. Which was a good looking, but hard to get decision (thinking about how awful my painting skills are). So actually there weren't so many choices I had when shopping hardware. Didn't matter: works great, looks great!

FSX and War Thunder both run at a pleasing 30 FPS for a 5760x1024px setup ran by 660ti's :P

Build Title: Project Red Gotham

Thread URL:

Description: My goal was to watercool in the Node 804 and make it look good without sacrificing hard drive space. I have seen other watercool Node 804 but none that I thought were great looking. I really like all Batman Movies and really anything to do about Batman so I wanted to make this build centered around Gotham/Batman. I set off modding the case by cutting out windows and cutting a little groove to pass a watercooling tube from one side to the other. Painted it and then proceed with the build. Watercooling it was a little easier than I thought it was going to be, one of the hard things was getting the cables inside of this was the hardest part. Every cable had to be perfectly measured and cut to length or this computer build would not work. The SSD in the front are vinyl and the watercooled tubing is PTEG with bitspower fittings. The whole storage in the end comes out to 13.5 TB, 3 4 tb HDD and 1.5tb of SSD’s. I am very happy with the way that this build came out.

Build Title: H.A.F. REBORN

Thread URL:

Description: For a long time I was totally focused on benchtable and so followed projects based on them, but now I'm going back to my old love "PC Cases". Although I can not think of any possible on the market that could satisfy me the way he came out of the factory , there's one that I'm particularly emotionally attached to, no matter what its shortcomings. From there came the idea with the intention to try to bring the same to the level of perfection, technologically and aesthetically and functionally.

Case that has been resisting the technical novelties but so many times has been used on the modding scene, which I've already been working on by bringing together two of the same in "Cubex" PC mode (http://www.sspcmodding.com/cubex/), now comes to order as an undying idea to incorporate, on and in him, so much more! It is His Majesty the HAF 932 and HAF hence the name Reborn as the rise of the phoenix smileface.gif

Build Title: Iced Blood

Thread URL:

Description: This was my second build utilising water-cooling, the first one being a modded Antec 902 with a 240mm Rad. After seeing so many great builds about the internet I decided I would like to have a proper go at it. However been married and newbie modder chart topping components were out of the question as the wife controls the purse and most (except my sponsors -thanks Mayhems/Primochill!) pretty much laughed at my enquiries for sponsorship, which is what I expected lol. The main parts of my first build were transferred over and the 902 placed in the bin :(.

I decided on the Thermaltake X9 pretty quick as it is modular, has vast mounting configurations for radiators and offered horizontal mounting of the motherboard. I originally opted for flex tubing, which initially pleased me, however during last 6 months or more, I noticed rigid was quickly becoming more common place and it looked great. I also wanted to go SLI for the first time as 4k on a single 970 was heart breaking! So now the rig is complete and it performs great!

Build Title: Wabisuke
Thread URL:

Description: My first PC build, so I decided to go all out. Housed in a Phanteks Evolv ATX, there's 3 980ti's, a 5930k, and 32gb of RAM, all water cooled. All the cables were sleeved by me, with sleeving whose colour I designed  and ordered from a factory specifically for this build. I went for an all black motherboard as it looked the cleanest in a build like this.

The case needed slight modifications to fit the top rad so it wouldn't hit the RAM blocks, but everything worked out in the end.

Thread URL: PROJECT LOG

Description: My very first water cooling adventure for everyone to see. I went a bit bonkers with the piping, in an effort to get it as stringent and harmonized as possible. Not just connecting outlets to inlets, but adding some complexity to maintain symmetry. Definitely learned a lot, and my pad smelled like melted plastic for weeks. Worth it. :)

Build Title: Project Erebus
Thread URL: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/364009-build-log-erebus-x99-900d-h2o/
Description: After several months planning and work, Project Erebus has finally reached completion. The massive 900D houses a full rigid watercooling loop, with the dual D5 pumps and one of the radiators hidden away below the midplate, and a Coldzero kit giving a clean look in the top section. Erebus is an ancient Greek god of darkness, and I tried to capture that feeling with the theme for this build. The custom-sleeved cabling, sprayed fans and custom-made purple pastel coolant from Mayhems were all carefully designed to fit perfectly, set on the black background. Other mods include the black Plastidip I/O ports on the motherboard, and stealth 5.25" bay fan controller, which really complete the clean look.

Build Title: Reinforced

Thread URL: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/452895-project-log-reinforced-tuf-z170-sabertooth-980ti-sli/?page=1

Description: Reinforced was a great project and i really enjoyed building it. To showcase the ASUS Z170 Sabertooth Mark 1 the theme of this mod is "The Ultimate Force". I chose the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX since it looks as if it was made for the motherboard. The mod features a custom CPU waterloop with unique premixed coolant by CoolForce and to light it up i installed two rigid UV LED strips. Using my scroll saw i created Armor panels to cover things and make the build look more TUF. To complete the mod i made custom sleeved cables and illuminated logos on the acrylic covers.

Build Title: Project Insidious

Thread URL:

Description: Bringing form and function together, I present to you my first attempt at a custom build. There was certainly great challenges involved in this project, but with a vision and budget in mind, I am utterly pleased with the results. A lot of consideration was made to maintain clean symmetrical lines of the tubing and selection of parts to keep with the overall theme in mind. I hope that my successful attempt of an understated, pure clean industrial design springs forward future projects (and sponsorship's!).

Turns out my planning was almost perfect and thus I managed to not only put a high end gaming pc in there, but I also managed to give it the upper hand and water cool it. The end result, spectacular, if I may say so myself.

The case is a heavily modified old HP Pavilion desktop chassis, shrunken down to a much smaller volume, yet is still capable of housing high-end components. I built this PC to be an easily portable gaming PC I can take to LAN parties, friend's houses or anywhere. Design and name is inspired by the Stalker game series.

Build Title: CSLC (Consumer Server Liquid Cooling)

Description: What makes this project unique, is its one of the very few stock data center servers that has a custom loop squished/attached/installed onto/into it. I pulled my radiator from my last rig, picked up two waterblocks and BAM, my temps are rarely over 30C even under load. Oh did I mention I squished a full graphics card in there? It currently acts as a gaming rig/file server/render server and can real time edit 8k footage by using RAM drives. While the original server (C2100) was 2U, it is now 3U with the modifications. The advantage to liquid cooling in this “case” was it’s very quiet and runs extremely cool for the components that are squished into it.

This is not a high end build but that being said, everything is swappable and you can upgrade the components easily. Yes, the cable management is horrid but as Luke discovered it doesn't cause an issue with air flow.

Used Zotac motherboard

Used Intel core 2 duo 2.13 Ghz

220 watt psu

Zalman low profile heat sink fan

It works great as a media player/pc. I think it looks cool and it looks pretty stock.

Title: Janus 2.0
Description:
"A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others" - Ayn Rand
What can you achieve when you don't worry about who you're trying to beat or what can you create? Life moves at a constant pace. We don't realize what we have done until we sit and look back.
I have been doing Folding on my Computer's down time to hopefully find a cure for Cancer (the previous build was dedicated to it and my father who passed from it). The Division was released, we all love it or hate it. After it's launch I realized how much time I was spending in my office and what it was doing to my computer. I figured it was time for a whole office upgrade. There is a new monitor being created by Samsung that is 32:9 and 49 inches. When that time comes my desk will shrink somewhat (I made it slightly modular). A dual monitor setup has always been the dream but the evil bezel in the middle has always prevented that from being a reality. Having a 32:9 monitor fills that gap and I'm quite excited for it.
