What is the hottest you have ever seen your hardware?

9 minutes ago, Tibbles said:

I have a laptop, so my i5-4200U is usually at 85°C in games and my GT 720M always gets up to 93°C.

Might want to clean the dust out, and maybe replace the stock TIM.

Meh, I'm building a pc in like a month. So I don't really care about it :P

You'll find that your laptop might be very useful...especially if your new desktop ever has problems.

I removed the heatsink from a Radeon X1550. The temp sensor stopped working at 120c, and it ran for another 4 seconds before combusting.

My Core2 Duo E7500. It once reached 110c when testing it with IntelBurnTest. That CPU is still running strong, after cleaning the cooler obviously. Now it's "only" 88c

I put my iphone under some red lights and played some sexy music. It looked pretty hot to me.

My laptops CPU hit 105 C, the reason I know this is because it shut itself off when doing any intense task, and while I was doing homework it would hit it and shut off.  I was even trimming a clip from a webinar and I had to do it outside in out unheated garage in december just so that it wouldn't overheat and shut off. (CPU info: http://ark.intel.com/products/67356/Intel-Core-i7-3612QM-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_10-GHz-rPGA)

I was playing GTA V at 1080P, very high textures, reflections, water, high sadows etc on my Dell Precision M4600 with an i7 2820QM and a Quadro 1000M (don't you say a motherf***ing word!). The GPU was around 85-90c and the CPU about 95-100c........ on bed. That was the hottest I had ever seen any of my hardware run. And surprisingly, it didn't throttle! Or maybe a tiny bit, but I didn't notice any performance decrease.

My A10-7870k was getting to the lower 90s playing a game and then I realised there was a heatsink issue when it was idling at like 60

My 750 Ti hit about 80oC playing the credits and then the menu  of Portal 2 @ 1440p.... I probably shouldn't be playing at that resolution with this card anyway... It's weird how the temp doesn't get that high while I'm just playing the game, but if I pause and walk away the temperature skyrockets

Current? GPU at 84C and CPU at about 45C

Ever? about 660 to 700C (set fire to one of my PCs because it was too much of a whiny little bitch. Alcohol may have been involved)

My 280 hit 90c in furmark in like 1-2min. Note that the thing has +180mhz on the core and +250 on the mem without extra voltage and stock cooling

I stopped the stress test

damn! my temps must have only been over a 100 for a split second before it throttled, otherwise i feel like the system would have blue screened or something like that.

The laptop was throttling but it was still at 100C.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.
