What is a 960M equivalent to for a desktop's GPU

Hi, so I am trying to find a laptop which can do me as good as a medium to high end desktop. So the Title explains everything what is a Laptop's Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M equivalent to a desktop GPU?

A GTX 750 Ti? As far as benchmarks go, I believe that's where it stands.

usually the mobile GPU is one step under the desktop GPU of the same name, so in this case that would be about GTX 950 level. Maybe a bit under it

I'd say the 960m is slightly better than a GTX 750ti.

Apparently; neither. It's under the GTX 750 Ti and a long way below the GTX 950.

It's about 10% weaker than a 950.

960m is a bit below the 750ti. 

Current PC: Origin Millennium- i7 5820K @4.0GHz | GTX 980Ti SLI | X99 Deluxe

If you're trying to find a laptop that is the equivalent to a mid to high end gaming desktop why would you ask what the desktop equivalent to a 960m is instead of what the laptop equivalent of a mid to high end desktop GPU?

 

Do you already have a laptop in mind and trying to find out if it's equivalent to a mid to high end gaming desktop? That seems backwards to me.

960M is a 750 Ti core with slightly lower clockspeeds so about the same as a stock 750 Ti
