Okay let me ask something here. Let's forget about the cost and the purpose; is this possible to build in real life with today's technology? Will it actually work and function like the robot model? 

 

That would be amazing - not because it's going to be useful but because humankind is actually capable of constructing such complex (and terrifying) machinery

Not possible as such,  the weight alone would destroy the legs and the whole build would be so top-heavy it would topple over too easily.

That's what I was thinking but I really needed a second opinion - thanks. I do believe that it would work without the legs (maybe put those tank caterpillar tracks)

 

It would be amazing if some sort of construction engineer provided some input but that's not gonna happen

It really would be awesome to get input from a real engineer, but I guess we'll have to settle with me. Luckily I happen to be a specialist on ALL things.
