Just wondering because the old one is sold out and I want one.

We know as much as you, we don't know when it will come out or if there will ever be a Shield Portable 2.

I can say with some confidence it looks like there will be no portable 2 the tablet appears to have done better.

Doesn't Nvidia release a new shield device every year? Maybe 2016 really be the year of the portable 2! They've done the portable, tablet, and TV so far, what else could they do? A smaaaarrrtphone?? Holy shit, brainwave

There's an app called Moonlight which does the same thing as any Shield product with a phone or tablet. It can use a controller which you can add to your phone on the cheap by getting a controller designed for phones or making a ghetto mount for an existing controller.

The only thing that I know is that Nvidia precent's a new portable product is to show up their hardware, so I think that the next shield could be a portable 2 because it will need a fan, unless they can put it on a tablet. But it will be powerful

It is confirmed, by FCC listings as a Shield Portable. When it will release is unknown

Its listed on the FCC, it will be released sometime this year.
