AT&T Brings Back Unlimited - With a Catch

Suika

Its amazing what companies are allowed to do In the US...

You should see what the government gets away with, yet people continue to vote the dumbassses into office.

Hillary Clinton for example.

If George Bush was in her position and did the shit that she did, his head would have been served up on a silver platter.

Republicans have zero Interest In fixing this Issue, but secretly, neither do Democrats, Republicans are just more blunt about It. To be fair though, Bush did his fair share of shit, Including the Invasion of you-know-what for supposed "hunting terrorists" when we know Its the Oil. Perhaps Bernie Sanders Is the only non corrupt politican In the US.... ever....

Just having a very hard time comprehending that sorry. That's 256 Megabits per second, which is faster then most fiber connections :/ Australia 4GX and Fiber is maxed at 100 Mb/s currently... (Think 4GX can hit 150)

Might want to look at the settings in your speedtest, pretty sure it defaults to Megabit.

Edit: Checked the Average 4G connection in London and it says it's 15 Mb/s, so I think something is wrong on your end, unless you own the ISP.

cuz i dun live in London. i live in Norway.

rechecking the Speedtest APP, you were right. its Bits.

3 bars coverage

76.5Mbits down

11.09Mbits up

depending on the day you get higher up speeds. Gotta say though, thats some of the highest down speeds ive seen (ive had over 100Mbits in Oslo, standing in straigh LOS of an antenna, making sure i was outside of the blindspots)

That is a lot of data anyway most users will not pass that amount unless they just don't pay for home internet.

... a lot of data?

I literally pass that in a few days, just by watching youtube videos.

But I guess "most users" is mostly composed of people who just use the internet to check their emails and their facebook, which is unfortunate.

Obama Is a Democrat, but not a socialist, socialist governments are usually less corrupt considering there Is little to no money to be made from corruption. Whilst unlike Obama, Bernie has actively proven he Is not corrupt, hes not even taking campaign donations from companies/rich Individuals.

Well, well, finally a catch that applies to me.

1) Got a phone ( check)

2) Has AT&T as a carrier ( check)

3) Has DirecTV ( check)

Its about damn time I can get off this damn 3GB data cap. :D

same:

But the funny thing is that most users want to use more data, but are restricted to small plans or bogus prices/policies(like sharing data with the family).

Do elaborate.

Nobody gets to be where these popular politicans are without playing dirty.

I used to be #FeelTheBern but not so much anymore. I don't even know if I'm voting anymore, so long as Hillary doesn't make it which I don't think she will realistically.

Thats the thing, Bernie Isnt playing dirty, hes barely covered by the news beacuse he doesent pay them to cover him (unlike other politicans). He does have money, but far from as much as the other canidates, and he Isnt accepting more from big companies so he can do their bidding.

Im on a $2/day prepaid, where I get unlimited call/text/data.

I definitely use it

I use approximately 5gb a day on it. I dont have broadband at home but dont have the need.
Optus 3g only though.
Unlimited 4g would be bliss

Ahh I read your previous post wrong about where you live. Anyway most people don't know the difference between MByte and MBit, and it can get annoying at times (specially when they push their case and are techy friends). But all is good, doesn't help that Speedtest defaults to Mbit :/ (Though I see why, since ISPs measure the same way)

As soon as I saw the $2/day unlimited, I was thinking you in Australia with Optus, kept reading... Yup  :)

Got the same (grandfathered) plan as a side card, whenever I need to download a lot, in goes the sim card. Just gotta remember to recharge every 6 months at least or it kills itself.

No unlimted from Verizon either lol.

I think we pay $240 a month for 6GBs split between 3 people who all have smart phones

Unlimited on Verizon is possible, also my family pays 120 for 12GB split with 3 smart phones...

Just my dad has unlimited...

How is that even possible? $80 for 12 Gb and then $20 per line, so it should be equal to $140 not 120? Unless you have an phone paid off already.

My dad works for Verizon, 50 percent discount.

So 40 dollars for 12GB, then 60 dollars for 3 lines, then 10-20 dollars in taxes is around 110-140.

Australia. Cable Internet. $75 with line rental included. Yeah for once AUstralia has an ISP that's doing better than the US equivalent.

For where it's available yeah. There are also 100/40 FTTB plans for $70 a month unlimited with line rental and phone included. There are also 1TB plans for $130+ a month on ADSL2+ that ranges from 1.5-24Mbits (average is about 5Mbit) download and nearly no upload :)

My dad has unlimited data on his phone.

Verizon charges up the ass though.

240 fucking dollars for 6GB and 3 phones. 1 Phone was FREE and has no insurance

My phone is like an extra $8 a month + $9 insurance

My moms phone is paid off and like $15 insurance

Once again we are talking about mobile plans here, not home lines.

Living in a rural town I can say most of the people get near the 16Mbit/s average (~2Mbyte/s), which isn't to bad (Telstra on that $130 plan - 1TB), and fixed wireless nbn was just activated as well. Bringing the max speed up to a possible 50Mbit/s.

Although for whatever reason Telstra doesn't seem to support the 50Mbit/s on fixed wireless and only does the 25Mbit/s.
