How to unblock Steam at school?

My friend goes to boarding school and Steam is blocked which means we can't play together on the weekend :(

When logging in to steam he gets the error: connection error: could not connect to the steam network.

We know steam is blocked because when he tries to go on the Steam website he gets this error:

VPN as long as they're not blocking the ports it's using.

use psihon, it works for mobile perfect and also works on laptops and such, its the only one that works for me at school since my school has a way of blocking other vpn`s :/

Honestly, I'd say just to ask whoever's in charge to allow Steam over the weekend. I'm sure that if the people there are nice they will do it... If they're not nice, well, good luck.

It's not 'illegal.' It may violate a TOS, but there is no law forbidding VPN's
