Well today I'd the first day of school for me and in one of my classrooms I legit saw it on the wall xD I have no idea why it's there but I thought it was kinda funny.

 

P.S. There was also some poster about different kinds of computer hardware in that room too so maybe the IT guys at my school use that room sometimes for meetings or something (there isn't a computer class at my school FYI) but I'm super confused why it's there. For all I know that classroom should be just like any other classroom.

my school IT upgraded a G5 to 512mb to 1gb of ram

At highschool they taped the IPs for all the projectors on their underside for all to see. Turns out without a password you can get access to the online remote control. Tried to warn the school about the dangers of it but they just said it wouldn't be a problem. They really didn't get it.

For my senior prank last year I was planning to release all that info online and see the devastation that would follow. I plan on getting some friends to gather me all the IPs next year and setup a raspberry pi for people to remote into and access all the projectors as you will need to be on the WAN to access them

TBH I haven't gotten the system up yet but if I force port forwarding similar to how Skype does it and setup the pi to receive SSH on that port it should work. In theory. After that I just get the raspberry pi connected to the router through the LAN ports which should get one access to the WAN without a student password. Connecting to the projectors shouldn't be much of a challenge after that

There are TONS of tutorials online about it.

Getting a raspberry pi and setting it up is step 1

I'd suggest following some of the useful guides they have on their website:

You may also find some Youtube videos as well on setting it up as the community is massive and everyone and their moms are posting videos about it.

 

In most tutorials They will often include setting up SSH so you can remote into the raspberry pi and you wont need the pesky keyboard and monitor anymore. That's the important part in my project, SSHing into the Pi. Once you have that setup accessing your Pi off of your network is a little more difficult as you will need to mess around with your router settings and setup port forwarding. I suggest doing some research online before attempting cause you really don't want to screw with your security settings too much. What will make it difficult though is that every router has its own firmware and so not every setting screen is the same. 

 

Really its a lot of fun to mess around with and set things up. I had at one point a web server running on my Pi that I had set up. You can do a lot with the devices and for the low price range of the Pi and the tons of online support there is I highly recommend you try it out!

The raspberry Pi 3 is the latest and greatest and certainly worth the price.
