small footprint build

Pkreifels

Budget (including currency): 1700

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Blender, SoT, Call of duty, forza, NFS, WoW, Little bit of everything.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

This is currently what I am looking at. I do not have a lot of room to do a massive build so i would like to build a MicroATX. However I have never built one and would like some assistance in making sure this will be good.  I am not to sure about that GPU and CPU. I have generally ran AMD everything but I am wanting to build an Intel machine. Thanks for any help.

Just to add to the mess I do not mind RGB but I only use red for the colors so kinda pointless

9th gen intel is already superseeded, you're also getting a K processor on an non-overclocking board.

i would go with a i5-10600k if you want intel, it performs better in games than the 9900k.

also get a z490 motherboard for it.

and wait for the rtx 3070 release. it will be much better than the 5700xt.

yep, wait for 3070... getting a much weaker last gen GPU now would be insta regret for sure.

otherwise seems like a solid plan

Would it actually be better to run 64GB single channel over dual channel?

1x64 would be single channel

2x32 is dual channel and is recommended.

4x16 would run in dual channel as well,as quad channel is not supported by this platform.
