First build OVERPAYING 14yo KID

Hi there,

My name is Cédric and I'm 14 years old. I'm planning to build my pc this week, but I'm still in doubt between the i5 10600k and i7 10700k. I only will game, I'd love to go with the i5 and overclock it but I'm also scared to burn it. So I think the extra €140 is worth it to go with the i7 10700k. Besides that I'd want to ask if it's easy to set Windows 10 up. Since I bought last month myself a 'msi trident x plus' but there was a problem with the windows download and I actually wanted to build myself a pc because I didn't really like the looks of the pre-built.So I returned it. Uugh, my specs would be an i7 10700k and a RTX 2070 super pre overclocked from factory (I'm pretty scared to overclock), a rtx 2080 super wouldn't be necessary. I'm also really into cooling. I want my components to be cooled good. I'm going with a Z63. Is that good enough for the i7 10700k? Or should I go with a 360mm AIO? I'd want to build in the NZXT h710i. Are there any cases that are easier to build in? As a psu I'm going with the HX750i; first I wanted to cheap out. But people were telling me that RM psu's from Corsair are bad. RAM, I don't really know if there's a big difference between 3200mhz and 3600mhz. I'm going with 16 gigs of 3600mhz corsair vengeange. Or is it just a waste and should I just go with 3200mzh? As storage I'm going with 1tb of nvme and 1tb of sata 3 ssd. For motherboard I'm going with the 'Asus ROG MAXIIMUS XII HERO' just because I like the look. On this part you can't change my mind :3. Conclusion I'm paying to much for what I'm getting but it's fine :3. Am I going to play minecraft with 2000fps? :3 I'm going with only ssd's because hard drives are slow. Umm; also, I got into COD warzone, can this run 1440p max settings +144fps? I have the 'ASUS ROG Strix XG279Q' monitor. Currently using it on a laptop with a 1050 and i5 7300hq. I really want to build my new system :3.

if you are overpaying then might as well wait a couple months for the newer hardware, spending this much on something this high end right now doesnt seem to be the smartest decision.

I don't get this reasoning.. But the 10600K has a way better price/performance for gaming.

If you have another PC and a 8GB+ USB drive, it's as simple as downloading the program, setting up the drive and then installing it on the new PC. Not that difficult.

Enough, but a high quality air cooler (NH-D15, Dark Rock Pro 4) would also suffice

I think that's a decent case, but if you're enthusiastic about good cooling, it might not be the best. But personally I am not that into cases, so wouldn't be able to really give an alternative suggestion.

An RM750 would work fine too.

If they are the same CL; not a huge difference. If the CL is higher on the 3600Mhz (like CL16 on 3200Mhz and CL18 on 3600Mhz) it would be identical.

I don't mean that I'm really overpaying. Parts are just really expensive to my knowing. I don't really want to wait another 6-8 months. I'm just bored af and want to play some games. It's going to be really hot the next weeks and being outside isn't healthy. :3 so ye 😎. But ye I get it, ain't smart; but ain't broke 😎. Someone has to buy the parts, and I already know the videocards won't be any cheaper when they have them here in stock here in Belgium.

theres a difference between beeing really expensive and overpriced.

not being broke doesnt also mean you should spend things on unecessary parts that you could otherwise use to get better and faster components.

I'm sorry I said that about the broke thing. Now I feel like a dumb 14yo kid; 😞
Ye I, pc parts are really expensive.

I'd personally go for AMD as in a previous post you said streaming and video editing which will benefit from multi-threaded performance.

Also, huge mistake to go this high-end considering we are so close to new components.

if you ask me I‘d rather get a big aircooler instead of the small watercooler

they are cheaper, more reliable and the cooling is on one level

tbh, if OP is only gaming, the 10600k and 10700k makes complete sense.

That motherboard looks like a Z490 Maximus Formula instead of a Z490 Maximus Hero in the picture. The VRMs on the Formula are meant to be watercooled, while the VRMs on the Hero have heatsinks on them, so they can be cooled by the case fans. So, make sure that you are not getting the Formula.

My PC : Ryzen 7 3800X | ROG Crosshair VIII Hero WiFi | Trident Z RGB 32 GB DDR4-3600 | Aorus RTX 2080 SUPER | NZXT H710 | MP600 2 TB, 970 EVO Plus 2 TB, WD Black 4 TB HDD | SeaSonic FOCUS Plus Gold 750W | NZXT KRAKEN X72 + a bunch of corsair ql rgb fans

Peripherals : G Pro Wireless, G513 Carbon (Linear), Corsair Virtuoso RGB SE , LG 38GL950G-B
