Light and thin gaming laptop

Hey guys

So I need a new laptop for school and work and hoping for it to be light and thin but also not break the bank.

Not that fussed on the specs aslong as it will run games like COD, Valorant, ect at med settings 60fps I'll be happy.

Looking for cheap so hopefully below £1000GBP

Thanks

Base model Zephyrus G14 fits into that budget.

Tho that does mean getting another 8GB of ram to get up to 16gb.

Or lower some settings on a 4600u laptop or similar.

No way on the G14, they dont give you dual dim slots for RAM and its 2020.  We should not have to settle for that type of treatment.  Thin, light, powerful, and actually able to cool, MSI GS66 comes to mind, second one being that new Legion Linus just reviewed a day ago, if you have the cash for that type of thing.

They do give you a single dimm slot to upgrade the ram.

Its 2020, and its a rarity on anything thinner than a sandwich.

G14 is worth looking at, tho certainly could get other options if dropping settings is an option.

To me though not being able to match set a dual channel config on anything I want is a major draw back.  I want high speed, the lowest CL stuff I can get.  I doubt the stock ram is a CL15-16, they usualy bundle CL19 in there, then the whole system will be stuck at 19 never to perform better.

This is laptop not desktop. High performance RAM is uncommon.

Its the only stuff I get for my Laptops.  Ryzen really needs dual channel to use its potential.
