I doubt the VRM will throttle with a locked cpu since they can only draw so much power because of locked chip limitations.

I see how poorly ventilated most the case be for it to not work right?

No just looking at it since so few decent M-ATX board for Ryzen exists, I have to buy a new cooler but I can at the very least recycle my wifi card, if going Ryzen there is only subpar board people warn me not to slap a 6 core into left in stock... Also even if wait for B550 not sure any of them will have as many of the features I want, the PCI & PS2 port is massive bonuses along with the PCI-E next to the GPU!

MSI B450 Mortar Max and a Ryzen 5 3600 should do the trick and outperform the Intel part in almost any scenario while being cheaper and offering everything you Need for your mobo.

 

Edit: Waiting for B550 is maybe not worth it because they will be more expensive and B450 will Support at least 1 more CPU generation aswell.

If that board was in stock anywhere... Also that and the ASRock Pro 4 are both out of stock and not even listed on the best site to order from... Pros of that is no need for new Cooler but most buy new wifi card / USB adapter... Also wast stock non over clocked Ryzen slightly behind the 10600 and 10600k and I remember jayztwocents say OC was better on the K than the Ryzen ones, not that I will do that since the case might be to toasty for that LMAO...

Clock speed is not the full Story. AMD has higher performance as Intel when both are at the same clock speed. So AMD doesnt Need as much clock Speed to perform the same.

Right now with Intel you still have to pay premium for (at best) same or worse performance.

If you dont need the PC right now, i would just wait for stock of the B450 Mortar Max.

I see well I can wait but the Intel setup I made looks kinda perfect, while waiting I can also see if the 10600KF goes back in stock along with seeing what B550 board will come. Tried tweaking my Athlon X4 880K its at 4.3GHz with NB at 2GHz managing about 790-810 in average on Cinebench R20 that is better than the 700-750 scores earlier... Not sure I can OC it any further without starting a fire, gonna test it at Battlefield V and hopefully now I can get over 30fps average so I can at least play like it does on PS4...OwO
