Noctua about to announce new flagship air cooler at Computex?

8lec

So I tweeted Noctua and asked them when they were gonna update their d15. This was their reply (shown in the tweet)

(I personally am a fan of the d15 and would love to see a new flagship air cooler from Noctua)

Not really tech news, they've been telling this to everyone who asks for the last two years lol.

The thing about cooling is it’s heat exchanger technology.  1960’s stuff.  Outside of that ice giant thing I don’t know much about, and which may not be new tech really either, the technology hasn’t changed much so there isn’t really a whole lot more changes to make.  Materials costs may change, but they’re going to go up not down, so I expect to see coolers get worse not better. The physics of coolers is more or less worked out, and until something changes they are likely to remain basically the same.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

* thread moved to Air Cooling *

This isn't Tech News, even if it's from Noctua's Twitter account, this classifies as rumors at best.

I'm sorry. I didn't know

But like, I hope I'm not violating TOS of the forum here. If I am, I'll take the post down immediately

You're fine. It was moved out of tech news. No real harm done.

Just make sure you read sectional guidelines before posting in the future.

(Just as a means of advice, not an order, lol)
