copy text shortcut

Hi, was wondering if it is possible to make a shortcut to my desktop that instantly just copies a certain text so i can ctrl V it

or maybe a batch file?

annoying string of text i need to copy and paste every 10minutes and its annoying to get to the text

just create a .txt file with notepad with the text needed and place it on your desktop. you can just open it and Ctrl C when you need to

Sounds like you need https://lintalist.github.io/ or another similar AutoHotKey based text expander solution.

Hmm.. You're gonna have to explain yourself a bit further, because there are multiple ways of going about this, depending on what exactly you want to do.

Is it always the same text for example?

 

I'm gonna assume you use Windows 10.

For example, the easiest thing you could do is copy the text, press Windows+V, see the text you just copied and press the three dots and press pin:

This makes sure - even if you turn off your PC - this piece of text will always remain in the clipboard. Just clicking on the text will do a Ctrl+V action.

What I personally find annoying, is that it is pinned, but 'falls down' when you copy more stuff, AKA when you turn off your PC and open clipboard, it's on top. When you copy 100 things then, it will be at the bottom of that.

 

What I would personally do, is create an AutoHotkey script to do this.

But maybe you want it to read whatever is in a .txt file? Possible too.

Does your text perhaps have anything that can trigger a different AHK function? (Like the word 'Enter', a !, etc.) it has to be escaped properly to not screw up the functionality.
