NZXT H440 Successor/Alternative (8+ HDDs)

Hello, 

 

I've been planning a home NAS build and found some builds using the NZXT H440. It seems like that case is very close to my personal *best* case compromise between available capacity, size, drive cooling etc. Unfortunately it seems to be discontinued. Has anybody seen a good alternative? The main features I'm looking for are: 

 

- 8 or more 3.5" HDDs

- all HDD's MUST be well cooled (ie. direct blast from a fan) 

- *relatively* compact, no bigger than the H440 is. Approximately 51 x 22 x 47.6 cm  OR  20 x 9 x 19 inches. 

- dust resistant

- budget of AU$200. Open to minor upgrades over time.

 

I'm located in Australia, not keen on importing. This NAS will be in hot weather (easily 40 deg C or 104 deg F) during the summer.

 

I've spotted the Phanteks Eclipse P400A, which SEEMS to have similar features, but requires a separate purchase of those drive cages. From videos it appears the front fans may interfere with the drive cage installation?

The go-To recommendation is the Fractal design Define R6 (comes with 6, can hold up to 11 with seperate purchase of drives) but it's $230-260 AUD (probably due to a weaker AUD dollar AND import fees) depending on which version you get

The P600S is also an option (again, you'd need to buy additional HDD's, and the four on the bottom wouldnt have as much airflow as those sititng in front of the fans) and again, it's over the $200 budget

The Silverstone CS380  (This is normally out of stock or a ridiculous price in the states) Doesnt have active cooling on the drives IIRC....

Thanks for the reply! Yea I've seen those options. I like the look of the p600s but yea its just over the budget.

GUYS I'VE FOUND SOMETHING, it took awhile, but anybody have experience with the Antec P101?

The dimensions are a little too chonky for me. But it has all the other features I want... I've gotta do just a little bit more Tetris to make it work...  But it comes it at $135
