A PC Suitable for 1440p 144Hz Gaming

PenguinMaster

This is the system I’m planning on building

-AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or 3600X

-BeQuiet Dark Rock 4
-Some form of X570 Mobo

-G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB, 3600

-Nvidia rtx 2060 super?

-EVGA 750w Power Supply

-Storage is a combination of an M.2 SSD and a 2.5” ssd

-RGB Fans ?

I’m not sure if I want to do an Micro-ATX or Mid-ATX build yet

Does anyone have any recommendations of parts to change? I want to be able to play first person shooters at 1440p 144Hz

If you need me to follow up on something, please quote or tag me.

The video card is the most important.

Drop the x570 board and get a decent b450 board, you save 50-75$ this way.

radeon 5700 or 5700 XT will give you more performance per buck, higher fps. Unless you need gsync and you have a gsync monitor, 5700 would be better for high fps.

you can drop the rgb-ness if you need the money for video card. Focus on that for high fps and 1440p . You can always buy fans later at your next paycheck or whatever.

no need for 750w psu, you can do with as little as 550w

The video card consumes 200-250w , the psu around 100-150w ... you're using 300-400w out of 550w or whatever you're gonna have. 550 is fine, 650 is more than enough if you want peace of mind.
