Do you watch or listen to other content while gaming?

dylandylandylan

Hey guys,

This post is really aimed at people that have more than two screens, but, do you want content, such as movies, tv shows, or YouTube while gaming? especially grinding tasks in skyrim per say.

I do this on nearly every task I do, gaming, designing, etc etc

What about you?

I sometimes do it. Usually I just listen to music when I find an awesome song and the game I'm playing doesn't have good music. Or I can't understand what's being said (such as in Agarest: Generations of War, which has good music, but all dubs are in Japanese).

Sometimes I'll watch Youtube videos while gaming. By watch, I mean passively listen to in the background. Usually I leave them on my 2nd monitor so that if something interesting comes up, I can watch it.

I do that because I want to support certain youtubers (every view counts), but I don't have enough time in the day to dedicate to watching their videos and playing video games. So I do both.

Youtube doesn't care apparently. A view is a view.

Pretty much always whether it's music or a video. I feel nonconstructive otherwise even if all I'm doing is consuming media at my leisure anyway.

Listen to music when I play a game where sound isn't important, if I play an FPS then I won't, and if im grinding in a game (repetitive tasks for a long period of time) then I will watch movies/Youtube

I can't listen music when i'm playing. It interferes with my concentration too much. I listen music only when playing World of tanks. Funny thing is that i can still watch/listen documentaries when i play very intensive games like Battlefield. Music is just too much, maybe it's because i get too carried away by the rhyme.

Signature is for bragging what's inside your case right? Hmm. so here it is.

if I'm playing a single player game i will some times have a video running on my second screen or tv(both connect to my computer) normally youtube hulu or netflix. If I'm playing with other people that i know will be using a mic i will stop what ever I'm watching and use head phones.

When doing grindy stuff when sound is not per se important, I'll listen to an interesting discussion, like a podcast, the WAN show, or a random cooptional podcast. What I also found out is that some happy music will help against frustration in games like BF4, which can be very frustrating..
