I need a new game to get addicted to...

I am really desperate. I want to game but i do not know what...

 

I was a BIG fan of WoW... Have like 5000 hours on record but since Legion, especially now with BfA, it is just the worst of both worlds for singleplayer and multiplayer.

Playing it feels as lonely and disconnected from other players as a single player game and you have to do the same repetetive things over and over again like multiplayer... It got singleplayerfied...

 

I am also a big fan of CoD. I have played like 2000 hours in Bo2 and Bo3 combined. Especially love the zombie mode of Bo3. But nowadays you can't find any lobbys for either of them.

 

Minecraft was also a very big deal for me back in 2012. But since 2014 it is just done. Done for it. Spent 3000 hours at least in it. FTB, modpacks, servers...

 

Back in the days i loooved Skyrim and Tomb Raider (2013).

I have tried Rise of the Tomb Raider and Fallout 4 but disliked both very much.

 

I also followed the The Witcher III Wildhunt hypetrain and was utterly disappointed... Boring af. Can't bring myself to extend the 10hrs i have on record.

 

Lastly i also disliked the Metro games...

 

I recon i just hate games where everything revolves around doing things npcs tell you... Rise basically was a bit of aiming practice while walking towards worldmarks the whole time.

Fallout 4 was the opposite, i was lost. I had no clue what to do and how to progres....

 

Oh, i also absolutely loved DOOM 2016.

I also loved the complete Bioshock triology. 10/10 would recommend

 

 

What games can you recommend me to try based on this?

Not a fan of ARPG? I recommend you to try Path Of Exile if you do.

You probably have already, but if not I highyl recommend Terraria. Cost a few bucks during sales and you can easily sink hundreds of hours into it.

Seems you have a similar taste to mine but it also seems you're younger so you haven't played some of the games I liked a lot...

Do you know what that means? Means you get to play the awesome games recommended by someone who has a similar taste.

 

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (way better than Skyrim)

Fallout 3 (miles better than Fallout 4, a lot more like Skyrim and Oblivion)

Jade Empire: Special Edition (probably the best RPG on the first XBox, released later on PC)

Chrono Trigger (THE best RPG)

Batman Arkham Asylum (playing Tomb Raider 2013 a few years after Batman Arkham Asylum felt like playing the same game with different characters!)

Rise of Nations

Dungeon Siege

Battle Realms (this feels like Warcraft 3 but it's a few months older and has a better story, classic RTS)

This War of Mine

Stranded Deep (survival)

Star Trek Elite Force (Voyager)

Postal 2

Doom III (cause you liked the new Doom but this one is better)

Prey (the old one on the id3 engine from Doom 3)

Wow, you do have a TON of time on your hand. You know this is at least 4 hours of gaming 7 days a week, 365 days per year for 10 year straight.

Yes, that's not far off as far as i'm concerned. I played less in the last few years, but the majority i played at least 8 hrs a day 7 days a week

Try scp secret labatory its free and its multiplayer (Not really scary but still not meant to be scary) Or try garrys mod in a short time  i sunk 70 hours on it  and with scp secret labatory  i got at lest 500-600 hours on it

Subnautica was game of the year for me, it's a bit open world but it does have a very worthwhile ending and making yourself an underwater base, massive submarine and bombing around the depths is exhilarating (and can be frightening).

The Total War series can be pretty addicting, I haven't played the newest one but the Warhammer ones were really good.

You can try out Dofus (Subscription based) or Wakfu (F2P).
You may either get addicted to these or possibly hate them and rage over.
Choose Remington server if you want to start up. Its worth a try. :D
