They claimed my own video

Once upun a time in france someone recieve a GTX 970 , Happy with it , he decide to overclock , that was nice , so he decide to record the benchmark , and post it on youtube , and few year next , linus tech tips try to claim it for no reason ( money ) , they do not own video , settings , just it's my video , made by me , it's ridiculous to do that

Linus more than likely has no clue that your video was claimed and by the time this thread comes to his attention, it will probably be fixed already, just like that other guy.

 

ContentID's automated system is FLAWED, this is nothing new.

 

Just contest it. Your ad revenue(if you have any) on the video will NOT be lost if you contest it right away. Youtube will put that money on the side until the claim is resolved. Which won't take too long.

The same thing happened with The Linux Gamer, it's because of content ID (which is an automated system).

Did you dispute it?

It appears that YouTube has recently made adjustments to its content ID system and it's causing a lot of false positives.

If you dispute the claim then it should be reviewed by fullscreen and removed. 

 

@LinusTech @nicklmg may be able to help expedite the process.

Dispute and say what belongs to you or is free to use at the time table. 

 

I got a claim for a song I wrote once & told them that apple loops are okay for me to use & don’t belong to the other company/organization. I also said that what I was showing was free to use and why.
