You will free from this stress if you just simply get the Thermalright Le Grand Macho RT. It's a huge air cooler, the biggest one with the least compatibility issue on the market.

High profile RAM clearance ??

Rear I/O or VRAM heatsink clearance ??

GPU/PCIe slot clearance ??

And if you ask about chassis clearance with this cooler, it's only 159mm high..

Top tier performance, quiter than the similar sized coolers, lighter (1060 grams) than the similar sized coolers, full compatibility, downside is the short warranty..

This cooler is my personal favorite air cooler..

I'm located in the US. I'm buying as I go so I don't necessarily have a "budget" as of now, but I'm willing to spend around $1500 USD. I don't have a case yet but the cpu I'm using is the i5 8600k.

As mentioned, the Mugen 5 is great.

If you want to save a bit of money, the Hyper 212 RGB BE is a good alternative: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/hHDJ7P/cooler-master-hyper-212-rgb-black-edition-573-cfm-cpu-cooler-rr-212s-20pc-r1
